ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We are extremely thankful to my Project advisor, Mr. B.R.Patel sir who is a faculty of Electronics & Communication Dept. from whom I have gained an appreciable knowledge in Electronic Card Lock System to make this project successful and providing valuable guidance and procedures. We feel very lucky to have effulgent and preeminent guides like them. Last but not the least, we wish to thank all those noble hearts who directly or indirectly helped us to complete this project work. Mayur Parmar (EC-85) Vishal Parmar (EC-86) Chintan Patel (EC-90)

ABSTRACT

This project is of the field of automation. Automation means any function which is being operated automatically on the base of some pre-defined condition. But here the different thing is that operation will be controlled by the sensor through its sensing ability. The main function of this project is to provide protection to our system as well as automatically on or off the appliances. The circuit consists of sensing device (photo diode), buffer (74LS244), relay driver (ULN2003), relay (12V DPDT), micro-controller (89C51), resistor & capacitors. When light is incident on to the photo diode, the transistors (BC-109) output goes high. This high output is given to the input of buffer IC (74LS244-octal buffer). As we know the working of buffer IC, it simply transfers the input to the output. The output of buffer is given to the microcontroller(AT89c51) so the output of the controller is given to the LCD and Relay driver(ULN2003).So according to the output, relay coil will be energize & our appliance gets turn on. We can apply this project at home and industry automation for easy lifestyle and also in security system.
