Title: What effects has a car that has an application of a uniformly acceleration?

Theory of the experiment:

In classical mechanics uniformly accelerated rectilinear motion (MRUA) presents three main characteristics: 1. The acceleration and the resultant force on the particle constant. 2. The speed varies linearly with respect to time. 3. The position varies according to a quadratic relation with respect to time.

The figure shows the relationship, with respect to time, the displacement (parabola), in the first figure the graphic shows a exponential function of the position in a time, speed (line with slope) in the second figure the graphic shows a lineal function of the velocity in a time and acceleration (constant horizontal line) finally in the third figure the graphic shows a constant acceleration in a time, in the case the car begins in a velocity of 0.

Hypothesis:
Cause: If a car has the same constant force for a long time, can we say that it is a uniformly accelerated motion? Effect: I expect that the car has a uniformly accelerated motion.

Explanation / Background information:

Variables:
Independent: The time because it is something that doesnt depend of anything and it is used to measure the other variables. Dependent: The position because it depends of the change and the velocity because it depends of the acceleration or of the force that has the car. Controlled: The mass because it is not going to change.

Materials:
-A computer -A calculator

Procedure:
-First I play the interactive experience, I put the red arrow in the displacement that I want so I put it in 5 displacements and I collect the time. - Then for the velocity I divide the displacement into the time. - Finally I go to the results and the program show my graphic and I decide to make my own graphic in excel.

Data Processing and Presentation

-Units: cm, sec, velocity cm/sec, acceleration cm/ sec -Graphic: Velocity vs. Time to find the slope that is the acceleration

Conclusions:
In conclusion after the experiment was done, the effects that the car has: - The position of the car change in an exponential way. -The velocity change in a lineal way. -The acceleration was constant because the force was constant. According to the data obtained, the force exerted on the car, generate uniformly Accelerated movement according to the results

Problems / suggestions:
-The experiment was good, I understand, I would not change anything. References / Bibliography Internet: [1]http://www.sc.ehu.es/sbweb/fisica/cinematica/practica/practica1.htm [2]http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movimiento_rectil%C3%ADneo_uniformemente_acelerado Book [1]
