1. HARDWARE REQUIREMENT:

IntelliTrac X8 Unit (Firmware Version 1.304 or above) PC (Windows XP), for other Windows OS, will be similar to XP. A SIM Card with GPRS function enabled. Data Transmitting Cable, please refer to following figures:

2. MAKING CONNECTION:
Step 1: Please ensure the X8 is configured as GPRS communication type (user installwizard to enter phone number, APN, User Name, and Password, and connection can be established. Then please follow below steps to connecting the Internet.

Step 2: Click Start, select Setting-> Control Panel

Step 3: Select Phone and Modem Options, and click Modems tab as following figure:

Step 4: Click Add button, the following figure appears. Please check Dont detect my modem; I will select it from a list then click Next

Step 5: Please select Standard 19200bps Modem then click Next

Step 6: Select correct COM port number which connects to the X8.

The following figure appears, please wait for a while:

Then the following figure appears, please click Finish button

Step 7: The following figure appears. Please select Standard 19200 bps Modem, then click Properties button

Step 8: Change the Maximum Port Speed to 57600, then click OK button

Then it will back to the previous windows, please click OK, and close the window. Step 9: Click Stat-> Setting -> Control Panel -> Network Connection, the following window appears, please click Create a new connection:

Step 10: The following windows appears; please click Next button:

The following windows appears, please select Connect to the Internet then click Next button:

The following window appears, please select Set up my connection manually then click Next button:

The following figure appears, please select Connect using a dial-up modem then click Next button:

The following window appears. Please select the Standard 19200 bps Modem then click Next

The following window appears. Please enter X8 GPRS in ISP Name text field then click Next:

The following window appears; please enter the phone number for your GPRS service. In this case, the phone number is *99***1#, then click Next button:

The following window appears. Please uncheck all options and enter all information for GPRS service if any, then click Next button:

The following window appears, check Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop option. Then click the Finish button:

Please click Properties button then the following window appears. Please select Standard 19200 bps Modem then click Configure button

The following figure appears, please chance the Maximum speed (bps): to 57600 and uncheck the Enable hardware flow control option. Click OK button.

Then it will return to the previous page. Please click Ok again back to the main dial up menu as following:

Click Dial button to connect to internet.
