4. BUSHING TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE: C1 CAPACITANCE


Bushing C1 Capacitancia es aceptable. Si los resultados no mejoran, desconecte todos buswork del bushing. Asegurese separar completamente el buswork y el bushing.

5. BUSHING TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE: C2 % PF


Para resolver problemas de interferencia en el campo mientras utiliza conjunto de pruebas mas viejos, la prueba C2 fue alguna vez hecha en el modo GST-Ground mode. Esto mediria C2 +C1. C1 podria entonces sustraerse de esta suma para llegar al C2. Al realizar esta prueba con el M400, el circuito correcto sera Gst-Guard, con el cable de bajo voltaje sobre el conductor central del bushing. Sea conciente que algunos datos anteriores cogidos con conjuntos de prueba antiguos pueden que sean obtenidos utilizando el circuito de prueba GST-Ground .

EMPEZAR AQUI C2 Test: Es Factor de Potencia demasiado alto o demasiado bajo? No Bushing C2 Factor de potencia Es aceptable.

No Esta la Base o brida del Bushing bien aterrado? Puentear la base o brida al tanque del transformador y probar de nuevo.

Yes No Esta el area del tap limpio y seco? Limpie y seque el area de Tap, Y probar de nuevo. Puede utilizar calor. Podria tener que enfriarse entonces

Ejecute el procedimiento General de Soluciones Sirvi esa ayuda?

Puedes tener que esperar hasta despus en el dia hasta que se caliente el bushing por el sol y medir de nuevo o esperar que baje la humedad en el caso que sea alto. O, alli puede ser contaminacion en el aceite. Si todos los bushings presentan un anormal C2 % FP, Medir otra vez mas tarde en el dia. Si slo uno es anormal. Entonces si es posible, tome una muestra de aceite despus de conseguir el permiso de fabricante.

6. BUSHING TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE: C2 CAPACITANCE


START HERE

Yes Does the C2 capacitance match previous tests? Yes C2 Capacitance is acceptable. Does the C2 capacitance match nameplate values? It is assumed the tap area is lean and dry per step 5, C2 %PF.

No

No

Perform an Inverse C1 test. If different from regular C1 test, investigate tap connections. If not, continue below

The C2 capacitance may not match Nameplate because of the tank size in which tests were run at the factory. This applies only to a few bushings of unique design, and usually 69 kV and below.

Perform the General Troubleshooting Procedures. Did that help?

No

Cap too low: There may be an open circuit, bad tap connection, or loss of grounding on outer layer of bushing core. Cap too high: The tap may be shorted to ground; repair tap. Contact your supervisor or you Doble Client Service Engineer.

7. BUSHING TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE: HOT COLLAR TEST


START HERE No Do you have previous test data? Yes Yes No If the watts are over 0.1 watts, clean and dry surfaces. Do not use alcoholbased cleaners. If no improvement, bushing may be contaminated inside. Visually inspect bushing to ensure porcelain in good condition. Try testing later in the day.

Do you have two or more identical bushings to compare?

Are watts over 0.1 watts?

No

Yes No

Are the currents of the identical bushings comparable?

Yes Bushing is acceptable.

Are hot collars tight and secure around the bushng skirt? Did you clean and dry the porcelain surface of the bushing? No Clean and dry the porcelain, and retest. Yes

Tighten collars, and retest.

A lower current may reflect a loss of oil. Check.

Yes

Do all the identical bushings exhibit the same increase in watts?

No

High watts in only one of several identical bushings may mean the presence of contamination inside the bushing. Perform multiple hot collar tests at the top, middle, and bottom to see if contamination is localized, and if so, try to detect a crack or other defect in the porcelain at that point.

Yes No Is Humidity above 70%? All bushings may be deteriorated. Visually inspect, and contact your supervisor or Doble Client Service Engineer.

Yes

You may have to wait until later in the day when the sun has warmed the porcelain to get better results.

8. Overall Tests

Yes

Follow the rules of analysis for measuring the C1 % Power Factor, with some exceptions: 1. The overall test is mostly a measurement of the C1 insulation plus some portion of the C2 insulation. The tap cover should be on during this test, and the flange properly grounded.

A. General Troubleshooting Procedures

For unacceptable data in any test, assume: FIRST that you made a mistake, including bad or wrong connections, grounding, tested with a dirty or moist surface or compartment involved, or incorrect test procedure; SECOND, that the problem lies with the test set or its leads; THIRD, that the apparatus being tested may indeed have a problem. These are the general steps to take, in the order shown.

Are test connections secure?

No

Reconnect test leads, making sure you make good metal-to-metal connections and are not allowing the guard or ground rings too close to the surface energized by the high voltage hook. Then retest.

Yes Did you clean and dry bushing porcelain and test tap area? No Clean and dry porcelain surface if C1, hot collar, or overall test data is unacceptable. Clean and dry the tap area if C2 test data is unacceptable. Then retest.

Yes No Have you checked the test leads and test set? xxx test circuit Yes No Disconnect attached bus and/or arresters and retest. Run diagnostics on the test set. Do a continuity check on leads and measure lead resistance, which should be 1 ohm or less. Retest.

Are Buswork and Arresters disconnected?

Yes Are you sure nameplate data accurate? No Check certified test reports or speak to manufacturer.

Yes

Now return to the flow chart for the test you are analyzing. If your test data is still unacceptable, you may have a problem with the apparatus under test. Call Your supervisor or Doble Client Service Engineer.
