Operational details. Store timings are from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm. A morning briefing session for the staff precedes the store opening. Daily tasks and targets are discussed with the team. Strategies are revised daily on the grassroots level as well which initiates healthy bottom-to-top communication.

The staff is adequately trained to service the needs of different types of customers. They follow a policy of being 3 feet away from a customer in order to give them enough space and yet be easily accessible. Merchandising is appropriately managed by the manager & support staff to match seasonal trends.

Staff members are encouraged to delight customers for building store loyalty. Regular customers are serviced by fixed staff members as they understand their needs & requirement better. Customers are also wished on their birthdays and anniversaries. Staff members have also been trained in evacuation disaster management techniques for the safety of customers.

The store uses mystery shoppers to study customer behavior, understand service gaps and keep a check on theft.

Daily cash calculations are done after the store closes. This is followed by a daily sales report prepared by the store manager.

Daily sales & stock diaries are maintained by store managers. A daily sales report is prepared by the store manager of the outlet Stock replenishment is done basis prevailing demand. On an average, stock is refilled usually on Mondays which is the lightest day for the store

Merchandising is very critical and weekly checks are conducted to ensure proper merchandising

The store witnesses highest footfalls during weekends. Women frequent the outlet more than men.

Store performance is judged on the following parameters: Revenue generated per sq. ft Gross merchandise value Net merchandise value

The staff is trained to deal with consumer grievances and guide them on offerings of various brands

Sale periods witness the highest footfalls. Red and black colours are used in merchandising during these periods to attract more customers. A bright and attractive ambience is created to boost impulse purchases

Stock is purchased on consignment basis from vendors. Off lately, many products have been sourced from Bangladesh.
