Dear Brothers and Sisters; First of all, I would like to proclaimed that since 1989 of all the Christians

I appreciated the most are Davidians. For they are kind and reasonable people, who could be able to reason with others, with humbleness and kind spirit. I hardly know how to explain this most vital subject, by which the Spirit of God through His Holy Word has opened the avenue of correspondence. It is not difficult to express the idea I wish to convey to each individual, but how to say it; fearing a chance of misunderstanding or diminishing the Truth of God has so graciously revealed to His people; realizing that this is dealing with a matter of life and death. Inspiration declared: EW page 76 When the Lord first gave me messages to deliver to His people, it was hard for me to declare them, and I often softened them down and made them as mild as possible for fear of grieving some. It was a great trial to declare the messages as the Lord gave them to me. I did not realize that I was so unfaithful and did not see the sin and danger of such a course until in vision I was taken into the presence of Jesus. He looked upon me with a frown and turned His face from me. It is not possible to describe the terror and agony I then felt. I fell upon my face before Him, but had no power to utter a word. Oh, how I longed to be covered and hid from that dreadful frown! Then could I realize, in some degree, what the feeling of the lost will be when they cry, "Mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb." (EW 76) My position would ultimately the same with that of Luther. To the reproaches of his enemies who taunted him with the weakness of his cause, Luther answered: Who knows if God has not chosen and called me, and if they ought not to fear that, by despising me, they despise God Himself? ( GC 142) The responsibility is not his who bears the message, but Gods, who sends the message. He who speaks evil against the messenger is speaking evil against God to his own hurt. (1 SR 248) That is why we need a clear conception of the Truth, so that when the messengers of truth shall come, we may accept the message and respect the messenger. ( 6T 420) For, It is hardly possible for men to offer greater insult to God than to despise and reject the instrumentalities He would use for their salvation. (PP 402) In view of these solemn realities even now looming before our eyes, no longer, Brother Sister, hide yourself in the darkness. Stand in the light, lest you stumble and fall and not be found. Come, take time, and Let Us Reason Together. (1 Ans. 8) If you believe that the positions taken have not the Word of God for their foundation, if the position you hold on the subject cannot be controverted, then produce your strong reasons; for your position will not be shaken by coming in contact with error. (CSW pg. 29) There are some who indulge in levity, sarcasm, and even mockery toward those who differ with them. Others present an array of objections to any new view; and when these objections are plainly answered by the words of Scripture, they do not acknowledge the evidence presented, nor allow themselves to be convinced. Their questioning is not for the purpose of arriving at truth, but is intended merely to confuse the minds of others. (TM 108) There is no virtue or manliness in keeping up a continual warfare in the dark, closing your eyes lest you may see, closing your ears lest you may hear, hardening your heart in ignorance and unbelief lest you may have to humble yourselves and acknowledge that you have received light on some points of truth. (CSW 29) The unfolding of the prophetic scroll will reveal to all "what manner of spirit" (Gospel Workers, p. 302) they are of -- whether willing to exchange error for truth, or whether determined to identify themselves with the class who will forever be found Ignorantly Fighting the Truth. (6 TR 59) The very first issue involved that need be seriously considered is that Does the Bible, E.G. White and the SROD teached that V.T. Houteff is the last prophet and no more to follow after him, during probationary time in the Church? If such teaching is fully substantiated footed in the evidences of Truth, then we need not worry whether they will be many claimant of being a prophet for Gods Truth will always triumph.

First of all, Let us ever remember always to observe the inviolable rule that an interpretation of the inspired statement must harmonize with all other inspired statements. ( 3 Ans. 41) Or in other words, we should not based our interpretation only in the General Conference Special and then wholly reject the other. The same with those opposer in the days of V.T. Houteff who based their conclusion taken only in the Early Writings. Heres another quote 1 Ans. 23 Clearly, therefore, her work must never be interpreted in such a way as to contradict the Bible but always to clear it. If you undeviatingly follow this absolute rule of interpretation, you can never possibly have any trouble with the Rod or with any message the Lord may ever send. (1 Ans. 23) The statement plainly declared that the writings of E.G. White, SROD or with any message the Lord may ever send must never be interpreted in such a way as to contradict the Bible, but always to clear it. This is an absolute rule of interpretation. Now let us quote the Bible

Ephesians 4:11-13
Verse 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Verse 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Verse 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 1 Cor. 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. How about the writings of E.G. White? III SG 15 The apostle presents the gifts more fully in 1 Corinthians 12:28. "And God set some in the church; first, apostles; secondarily, prophets; thirdly, teachers; after that, miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues." (III SG 15) God set them in the church. And where is the text that declares that they have been set out of the church? Here are eight gifts mentioned, and given in their order of importance. That "first," "secondarily," "thirdly," and so on, refer to importance, and not to time, is evident from the fact that Paul in this - connection dwells largely upon the relative value of some of the gifts, and in verse 31 says, "covet earnestly the best gifts." (III SG 15) III SG 15, 16 The gifts were planted in the Christian church. God set them there. And we judge that the Corinthians shared largely of their benefits, from the fact that Paul in his epistles to them, occupies much space in speaking definitely in regard to their proper exercise. In the above quotation the apostle thanks god on their behalf for the grace bestowed upon them by Jesus Christ; that they were enriched in all utterance and knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in them. If we turn to Revelation 19:10, for an inspired definition of the testimony of Jesus, we read, "for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy." By this they were enriched in knowledge and utterance. (III SG 15, 16) III SG 26, 27 The woman is a symbol of the church, and the remnant of the church represents the Christians of the last generation of men, living just prior to the second advent. The dragon makes war on these for keeping the commandments of God, Sabbath and all, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ, which, according to the inspired definition of chapter 19:10, "is the spirit of prophecy." Here, then, are the causes of the dragon's warfare upon the remnant. They teach the observance of the Ten Commandments, and the revival of the gifts, and acknowledge the gift of prophecy among them. When the devil got one foot upon the fourth commandment, and the other upon the

gifts planted in the Christian church by Jesus Christ, then his satanic majesty was filled with revengeful delight. But when the remnant, whom God designs to fit for translation to heaven without seeing death, "ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein," then the dragon is wroth, and makes war on them. The true spirit of the dragonic host, which is already being somewhat developed, is vividly described in Isaiah 30:8-13, as being manifested just prior to the sudden destruction of those who hate the pure testimony, and love smooth and deceitful things. (III SG 26, 27) III SG 29 The gifts have been superseded in the popular churches by human creeds. The object of the gifts, as stated by Paul, was "for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come in the unity of the faith." These were heaven's appointed means to secure the unity of the church. Christ prayed that his people might be one, as he was one with his father. Read John 17. Paul exhorted the Corinthians in the name of Christ to be perfectly joined together in the same mind, and in the same judgment. Read 1 Corinthian 2:10; Romans 15:5; Philippians 2:1, 2; 1 Peter 3:8; v, 5. The gift were given to secure this state of unity. (III SG 29) III SG 12, 13 The Apostle first presents the subject of unity, in the declaration that there is one body, one spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith; one baptism, one God and Father of all. He then presents the gifts as the means by which God designed to secure the unity of the church. He refers to Christ's ascension, when he led up to heaven a multitude of captives from their graves, as the time when the gifts were bestowed. He then mentions some of the gifts, given at the same time, for the same objects, and all to extend to the same point of time. It will be admitted that evangelists, pastors, and teachers, were to extend to the end of the Christian age. Then why not the others? If it be said that the state of unity and perfection described by the apostle is in the past history of the church, then we reply that evangelists, pastors, and teachers, ceased with that happy state of things. But he who admits the perpetuity of these, must acknowledge the perpetuity of the others. It is worthy of notice that Paul's letter to the Ephesians was written A. D. 64, and that from that point it looks to the future for that unity and perfection of the church to be accomplished by the gifts, "till we all come in the unity of the faith," says the apostle. If Paul could not see this unity and perfection in his day, or in the past, certainly we cannot see it in the past history of the church; hence the perpetuity of the gifts, and their revival in the last days in great power to unite and perfect the church ready for translation to heaven at the second coming of Jesus Christ. (III SG 12, 13) EW 134 The gifts were not confined to the apostles, but extended to the believers. Who will have them? Those that believe. How long? There is no limitation; the promise runs parallel with the great commission to preach the gospel and reaches the last believer. (EW 134) EW 136 They are to cease when that which is perfect is come, when we shall no longer see through a glass darkly, but face to face. The perfect day, when the just are made perfect and see as they are seen, is yet in the future. (EW 136) EW 138 And since the gates of hades have not prevailed against the church, but god still has a people on earth, we may look for the development of the gifts in connection with the third angel's message, a message which will bring back the church to apostolic ground and make it indeed the light--not darkness--of the world. Again: we are forewarned that there would be false prophets in the last days, and the Bible gives a test by which to try their teachings in order that we may distinguish between the true and the false. The grand test is the law of God, which is applied both to the prophesyings and to the moral character of the prophets. If there were to be no true prophesyings in the last days, how much easier to have stated the fact, and thus cut off all chance for deception, than to give a test by which to try them, as if there would be the genuine as well as the false. (EW 138) EW 139, 140 We learn from a previous verse that when Christ ascended up on high, he gave gifts unto men. Among these gifts are enumerated apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. The object for which they

were given was the perfecting of the saints in unity and knowledge. Some who profess to be pastors and teachers at the present day hold that these gifts fully accomplished their object some eighteen hundred years ago, and consequently ceased. Why not then throw aside their titles of pastors and teachers? If the office of prophet is by this text limited to the primitive church, so is that of the evangelist --and all the rest; for no distinction is made. (EW 139, 140) EW 142 The expression, "prove all things," is limited to the subject of discourse, prophesyings, and we are to try the spirits by the tests which God has given us in his word. Spiritual deceptions and false prophesyings abound at the present time; and doubtless this text has a special application here. But mark, the apostle does not say, reject all things; but, prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (EW 142) PP Introduction To show how this promise was to be fulfilled to the church, the Apostle Paul, in two of his epistles, presents formal declaration that certain gifts of the spirit have been placed in the church for its edification and instruction to the end of time. 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:8-13; Matthew 28:20 nor is this all: a number of clear and explicit prophecies declare that in the last days there will be a special outpouring of the holy spirit, and that the church at the time of Christ's appearing will have had, during its closing experience, "the testimony of Jesus," which is the spirit of prophecy. Acts 2:17-20, 39; 1 Corinthians 1:7; Revelation 12:17; 19:10. In these facts we see an evidence of God's care and love for his people; for the presence of the Holy Spirit as a comforter, teacher, and guide, not only in its ordinary, but in its extraordinary, methods of operation, certainly is needed by the church as it enters the perils of the last days, more than in any other part of its experience. The voice of Inspiration plainly declared: III SG 12 all (the gifts) to extend to the same point of time. Then if we declared, that the gift of prophecy, the prophetic gift ended in Feb. 5, 1955, the Spirit of Prophecy declared: why not then throw aside their titles of pastors and teachers? If the office of prophet is by this text limited to the primitive church, so is that of evangelist and all the rest: for no distinction is made. (EW 140) But he who admits the perpetuity of these, must acknowledge the perpetuity of the others. (III SG 13) The prophetic gift, the gift of prophecy, and the prophet point to the same subject. Remember, when the prophet died the gift of prophecy was disappeared, according to Early Writings page 133. Clearly shows that the prophetic gift or gift of Prophecy is not the Books. The SROD declared: 2 TR 5, 6 Emphasizing the importance of the gifts of the Spirit, Paul says: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ." Eph. 4:11, 12. "After that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues." 1 Cor. 12:28. But while most of these gifts, especially those of tongues and of governments, are zealously sought after by the churches, the one that was despised by the Jews -- the gift of "prophets" -- is wholly rejected by almost all Christendom. Therefore the spirit that instigated the killing of the ancient seers at the hand of the Jewish leaders, is today doing virtually the same sort of destructive work through organized religion. The Jews, while ascribing praise and honor to the dead prophets who were slain by the forefathers, rejected the living prophets, thus bringing upon themselves the Master's mournful pronouncement: "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous, and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets." Matt. 23:29, 30. Present-day Christians who despise the gift of prophecy and deny to the gospel dispensation the authority of the Old Testament Scriptures, thereby reject all the prophets, though at the same time they do them the lip service of acknowledging them as the servants of God. (2 TR 5, 6) 2 TR 7 As the gift of prophets is, according to the Scriptures, second in order of the gifts to the church, and the gift of governments and that of diversity of tongues are last, obviously, then, those who despise the gift of prophecy

but exalt the gift of governments and the gift of tongues, are pulling the cart from its rear end, and are going in the wrong direction. To such, Christ is saying: "Knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." Rev. 3:17. (2 TR 7) 3 Ans. 58, 59 Next, the Davidians hold that the belief that the Spirit of Prophecy is to repose in the church to the end of time, is one of the foundation stones of Seventh-day Adventism. "This prophetic gift bestowed," admits Elder A.G. Daniels, "was to abide with the church from Adam to the second advent of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ when He comes to take His redeemed people to Paradise. It did not cease with the apostles, but is traceable through the centuries to the last days of human history, just before the return of our Lord. When that supreme event of the ages shall occur, then--and not until then--shall come to pass that which is spoken of by the apostle Paul: "'...whether there be prophecies, they shall be done away; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but when that which is perfect is come that which is in part shall be done away.' --1 Cor. 13:8-10, A.R.V."--The Abiding Gift Of Prophecy, p. 6. (3 Ans. 58, 59) I hope that we should not be like the Jews of old, deeply involved yourselves in a war against the Spirit of Prophecy a war which you cannot win. (6 TR 73) 2 TG 45:6 And what is the Spirit of prophecy? -- The same chapter and verse give the answer: "And I fell at his feet," at the feet of the one who unfolded the prophecy to John, "to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Rev. 19:10. Here it is seen that as the prophecies were unfolded to John by one of his brethren, thereby was revealed to him the Testimony of Jesus, the Spirit of Prophecy. Plainly, then, an inspired servant of God who bears a message to his brethren, bears the Testimony of Jesus to them. To illustrate: Suppose the Lord Jesus communicated a personal message to you by a messenger, would not His message be His testimony to you? And should God endow the messenger with the gift of His Spirit to unfold to you the prophecies which are in the Scriptures, would he not be coming to you with the Spirit of Prophecy? Thus it is clear that the "Testimony of Jesus" and "the Spirit of Prophecy" are synonymous terms for a timely message sent from God -- "meat in due season." The Spirit of prophecy, therefore, is God's means of communicating from Heaven directly to His church on earth, as well as of unfolding the sealed prophecies to her. (2 TG 45:6) Inspiration made it so plain that the Spirit of Prophecy is a timely message sent from God meat in due season. In 7 JL 4, it says As the Denomination has made no progress in Truth since the death of her Heaven -called founder, it is obvious that she has nothing to boast about; that she is retrograding and is as dead spiritually as were the Jews from the time of the prophet Malachi's death to John the Baptist's appearance in the wilderness of Judea. The line of communication between her and God is cut off as it was in John's time. She can no more now serve her members "meat in due season" than could the Jews without the prophets. Her blindness to this fact, and her assumption that she is "in need of nothing" make her wound incurable. (7 JL 4) 3 Ans. 60 Upon the death of Sister White, in 1915, the gift of Inspiration, the active Spirit of Prophecy, became quiescent, no longer manifesting Itself for a time. With the church thus cut off from the very source of its life, as was the Jewish church from the death of the prophet Malachi to the rise of John the Baptist, how could it maintain its vitality and growth? Hence, now as then, there has followed the same inevitable spiritual malnutrition and deformity, accompanied with a long train of woes. (3 Ans. 60) Brethren, the Word of God made it so plain, that at the time when there is no living prophet the gift of Inspiration, the Active Spirit of Prophecy is no longer manifesting Itself for a time. In Early Writings page 133, the term used is disappeared. The serious issue to which these questions give rise demands that we cease fooling ourselves or letting others make fools of us. (GCS 4, 5) The Bible is the greater light. (EV 256) And contains the complete plan

of salvation for all humanity. (1 TG 10:18) The Bible being the Word of God is quick meaning never die (Hebrews 4:12), endureth forever. (1 Peter 1:25; Isa. 40:8) Yet the SROD declared: 2 TG 24:23, 24 Let now no one deceive himself by thinking that the Bible Itself is the active Spirit of Prophecy. Let us be God's real people, logical thinkers, not bait hunters. The Bible, you know, without the human channel, is as inactive as though It were but ink and paper. Moreover, the Spirit, too, apart from man, is also inactive: He, too, works through the human agent. Hence, without an inspired interpreter the concealed prophecies and the Spirit that unfolds them are inactive. (2 TG 24:23, 24) The Holy Spirit as well never die. But the SROD plainly declared that the Holy Spirit apart from human agent is also INACTIVE. To activate the office of the Holy Spirit, He, too, works through the human agent. Remember, the SROD declared the Spirit of Prophecy is brought to them by a man a fellow servant (2 TG 24:23). And then declared: Suppose the Lord Jesus communicated a personal message to you by a messenger, would not His message be His testimony to you? And should God endow the messenger with the gift of His Spirit to unfold to you the prophecies which are in the Scriptures, would he not be coming to you with the Spirit of Prophecy? (2 TG 45:6) 5 SC 1-5:6 In the last book of the Bible, Chapter 12, verse 17, we find that the devil will be especially wroth with those who "have the testimony of Jesus Christ," which the author of the book tells us "is the spirit of prophecy."--Rev. 19:10. And the Apostle Peter makes it clear that the Testimony of Jesus and the Spirit of Prophecy, are the Spirit of Christ in the prophets who "testified before hand."--1 Pet. 1:11. Thus it was in the apostles' time; thus it must be now. Hence, the testimonies come from the Spirit of Him Who "spake as no man ever spake." (5 SC 1-5:6) Have you not yet discovered that, whether it be in ancient or in modern times, all the Bible truths that men have ever learned, have come only through the inspired channel -- the Spirit of Prophecy? (6 TR 43) Therefore, brethren, settle it once and forever, that with the Lord's help you will no longer be carried away by winds of doctrine that are created and driven by the spirit of error, not by the Spirit of Truth, but that you will always look for, and stand by, the Inspired Word of God -- "the testimony of Jesus," delivered to you by "the Spirit of Prophecy" (Rev. 12:17; 19:10); that you will "hear the rod, and Who hath appointed it." Micah 6:9. (6 TR 80) The voice of Inspiration plainly declared that the Spirit of Prophecy is brought to them by a man. (2 TG 24:23) We know the verb is is in a present tense according to 1 SR 156. Therefore the phrase is brought is in a present passive tense. And it did not say is brought to them by men but rather a man in singular form. Therefore, 6 TR 80 declaring the testimony of Jesus delivered to you by the Spirit of Prophecy (Rev. 12:17; 19:10); that you will hear the rod, and Who hath appointed it. Micah 6:9, simply means that Jesus Christ inspired someone to teach us the genuine doctrine of the SROD. For the Spirit of Prophecy is the Spirit of Christ in the prophet ( 5 SC 1-5:6), the Inspired channel. (6 TR 43) But the sad fact is Satan has from its beginning constantly worked to cause every church member to revel in private interpretation of the Scriptures. (1 Ans. 64, 65) They love to have the SROD delivered to them by uninspired men. That is why any objection to Inspiration, can only, in the last analysis, be an attempt to put God out of sight, and to bring (uninspired) men to the front, to cut off the only channel through which God can interpret the Scriptures, communicate His people reveal truth and unmask error. (3 Ans. 30) The following quotation plainly shows that only Inspiration (a man called of God) can declare the Truth and nothing but the truth. (2 SC 3, 4:13) Indeed, the very word Inspiration in its theological significance, means to communicate Divine interpretations free from mens adulteration. (3 Ans. 29, 30) Remember, It is not the words of the Bible that are inspired, but the men that were inspired. Inspiration acts not on the mans words or his expressions but on the man himself. ( 1 SM 21) That is why, if you really want the pure teaching of the SROD without any mans adulteration Inspiration must be your only Teacher. (1 TR 44)

2 TG 45:7 Did you mark what Inspiration says? It plainly declares that the Scriptures are not privately interpreted -- not without the Spirit of God in the man, not by the man alone, and not without God's own appointment. And the reason given, you note, is the very fact that prophecy did not come by the will of man, but by the will of the Spirit, through "holy men of God." This, brethren, is Heaven's law and order. And who are we to change it? To put your trust in private interpretation is therefore to barter your soul to man. Concerning such a perilous practice, the Lord commands: "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?" Isa. 2:22. (2 TG 45:7) Interpretation is correct only when Inspired by the same Spirit, thus timely utterances are revealed. ( 2 SR 78) If there is anything in the SROD which is not clear, only V.T. Houteff himself should be consulted if he is living. But since V.T. Houteff was already dead, only by the same Spirit of Inspiration can clarify, whatever is involved. ( 1 Ans. 47) Remember the statement whatever is involved in the SROD only the same Spirit of Inspiration can clarify whatever is involved. So, very plainly, the Word of God cannot be rightly interpreted privately --without the aid of Inspiration (2 Pet. 1:20, 21). Any who thus attempt to interpret the messages which the Lord sends to them, will find themselves serving Satan instead of serving Christ, and will surely cause both themselves and their followers to make shipwreck of faith. (3 Ans. 30) Brethren, it is a high time to realize That we cannot be led into all Truth without the gift of the Spirit of Prophecy. (1 TG 14:17) Since the Scriptures explain that the church in all ages has been led into truth only through the gift of prophecy (6 TR 10). There is no doubt, the Church from creation till today has been led and preserved by the prophets and she can continue in no other way from here on. (2 TG 26:23) The present condition of Davidia is devastating. Sacred history is repetitious with the tragic lesson that when a people go wrong, as did Israel in Elijah's and again in Christ's time, they are no longer sensible of their being wrong. Likewise repetitious is the even more tragic lesson that such a people have always misconstrued God's efforts to bring them to a realization of their errors. So once they are led astray from the teachings of the prophets, and captivated by new and magnetic human leadership, their liberation and correction become almost impossible. (1 Ans. 69, 70) The SROD declared 2 TG 24:22 If they do awake to their poverty, it will be the greatest miracle since the beginning of the world. I say it will be the greatest, because they feel no need of God's help through Inspiration, expect none, are prejudiced, suspicious, and fearful of everyone that disagrees with their preconceived idea. They are therefore even harder to reach with the saving Truth for today than were the Jews of yesterday. (2 TG 24:22) Inspiration declared that Gods help is channeled through Inspiration. But Davidian expect none, are prejudiced, suspicious, and fearful of everyone that disagree with their preconceived idea. They are therefore even harder to reach with the saving Truth for today than were the Jews of yesterday. It is Satans subversives have sought to sever the lines of communication between the Spirit of Truth and the people of God. ( WHR 54) For all, there exist in this connection one great need: the spirit of Truth, Whose right alone it is to interpret the Scriptures. ( 3 TR 91) To reiterate: The prophetic gift, the gift of Inspiration and the gift of the Spirit of Prophecy point to the same object the prophet. Therefore, to declare that the gift of Prophecy ended to the call of V.T. Houteff after he died is in direct contradiction with the Bible, E.G. White writings, and with the SROD itself. The voice of Prophecy plainly declared that all (the gifts) to extend to the same point of time. ( III SG 12) Therefore, if we teach that V.T. Houteff is the last prophet, and no more to follow after him, then Why not then throw aside their titles of pastors and teachers?...so is that of the evangelist and all the rest; for no distinction is made. (EW 140) It will be admitted that evangelists, pastors, and teachers, were to extend to the end of the Christian age. Then why not the others? If it be said that the state of unity and perfection described by the apostle is in the past history of the church, then we reply that evangelists, pastors, and teachers, ceased with that happy state of things. But he who admits the perpetuity of these, must acknowledge the perpetuity of the others. (III SG 12, 13)

The SROD hold the belief that the Spirit of Prophecy is to repose in the church to the end of time. ( 3 Ans. 58) The word repose being a transitive verb means to place or to stored or deposit. The Spirit of Prophecy declared: III SG 15 God set them in the church. And where is the text that declares that they have been set out of the church? Here are eight gifts mentioned, and given in their order of importance. That "first," "secondarily," "thirdly," and so on, refer to importance, and not to time, is evident from the fact that Paul in this connection dwells largely upon the relative value of some of the gifts, and in verse 31 says, "covet earnestly the best gifts." (III SG 15) The DSDA had been contaminated with the belief of the Protestant world. The SROD declared: 3 Ans. 29 The questioner's difficulty stems from the hard fact that the Protestant world has long held the concept that God does not in this age employ an inspired mouthpiece to interpret the Scriptures and to declare His will but invests and leads each Christian individually. This theory, however, is universally exploded when viewed in the light of the fact that those individuals claiming to be personally led of God, disagree among themselves just as much as the various sects disagree one with another. (3 Ans. 29) This statement is absolutely real among Davidia at the present time. Each Davidian sect, or even individuals declared that they are personally led of God, while at variance, disagree among themselves. The SROD declared: This everlasting tragedy would be chargeable only to their despising the gift of the Spirit of Prophecy the eyes of the church (1 Sam. 9:9; Isa. 29:10) which alone can see to draw them into a state of oneness, of unbreakable unity. (6 TR 12) Remember, the only medium by which Gods people can reach into the state of oneness, of unbreakable unity is through the Gift of the Spirit of Prophecy. (6 TR 12) Therein lies decisive evidence that this present condition of Davidia being in a divided state that they are divest of the Holy Spirit, and are running ahead in darkness. ( 12 TR 24) Having deprived themselves of the gift of the Spirit of Prophecy by doing away with the prophets, they completely cut off Heaven's communication line and were thus left in gross darkness and led into error, fanaticism, and crime. They became self-sufficient, proud, boastful, and high minded. (1 TG 15:5) Heres what Inspiration declared 3 Ans. 34 If such are not willing whole-heartedly to accept an Inspired message today, would they have accepted the Baptist's message, Christ's or the apostles'? No, indeed not, regardless of their profession. And if they will not submit themselves to Inspiration, how will they ever know the truth? And how will they ever get into the Kingdom? For the Bible says: "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets." "By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophets was he preserved." "Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper." Amos 3:7; Hos. 12:13; 2 Chron. 20:20. (3 Ans. 34) Though there is much more to be said on these matters, suffice these lines for the present, for unless for your life's sake you respond to them, more would be only a weariness to you and a loss of time to us. (1 Ans. 28) We will post it soon concerning the subject THE LAST PROPHET. Thanks, May God bless us all.
