December 12, 2012 Christmas came early for all of our loyal users. Introducing our new 635 GB Nint endo Gamecube ISOs section! August 10, 2012 Heads up - our server will go down for approximately 30 minutes after 9 PM PST t onight for a SSD drive installation and RAID-1 buildup. This will give the site more redundancy moving forward! June 22, 2012 After a long time of uploading, not to mention running into a string of server p roblems, I am proud to finally preset to you our new PSX ISOs section! Included are 1,691 full ISOs totalling over 440 GB! The Playstation was my favorite conso le growing up, and looking at the list of titles brings back many fond memories as a kid. I hope it has the same effect on you - enjoy! June 17, 2012 How do you play the Commodore 64 ROMs we just added without any emulators? There fore, we have created a new Commodore 64 emulators section! We also went ahead a nd updated all of our emulators to their latest versions. June 7, 2012 Due to the recent surge of traffic to both our web site and forums, we have outg rown our current single server. This has caused, as you may have noticed, a sign ificant slowdown when accessing and browsing our forums. In order to keep our user experience high, we had another server (with a SSD dri ve) implemented just to handle our forums' MySQL database. This should greatly i mprove forums speeds in every way, and the lessen the load on the main site serv er. I have a very cool update to announce: we just added a new ROM D ownload Queue system that makes downloading from CoolROM even easier! It allows you to save and manage a list of ROMs you wish to download at a later time, and

August 2, 2010 Due to overwhelming requests, we have now added an exclusive Macintosh emulators section for all you Apple fanboys out there (myself included). We recently upgraded our server to have twice the CPU power and RAM, so you may ha ve noticed the even faster browsing and download speeds :). Anyways, I am excite d to announce a couple of updates for you guys: - All ratings are now displayed with shiny new stars ! - Updated all emulators to their latest versions and added a rating system - Added a "Top ROMs" page for each system to display the Top Downloaded and Top Rated ROMs. Example: here. For this n ew year, I am planning to have more site events/contests as our forums seems to be livelier than ever with almost 40k registered users. June 1, 2008 Guess what guys? I have uploaded over 1,000 Gameboy Advance GBA ROMs to the site , and you may check them out here - thank Soushkin for the set. Also, I am in th e midst of updating our MAME set to the latest version, so please stay tuned for that. I finally have a break from school; I should have more free time to updat e the site, which I haven't done so for a while, so here's a little treat for yo u to start off :) May 25, 2008 It seems like it has been forever since I last posted news here; however, I have some important updates to address. Part of our site database corrupted, which c aused downloads not to initiate properly, and unfortunately, I did not discover this problem until recently. I am very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you guys, and have rebuilt the database, so everything should be working fine now. Some good news: I am currently working on updating a lot of our emula tor/ROM files, so you may expect another news update very soon! Enjoy life every body! December 25, 2007 Hey guys. I will keep you guys posted! October 4, 2007 It has been a while since I posted some news, so here goes nothing! As years pas s by, CoolROM ages and is no longer the new kid on the block. I hope this site c ontinues to help you relive your childhood memories with the classic games you e njoyed the most when you were a kid. Please contact me if you have any comments/ suggestions about the site, which may help us make your visit here even more ple asurable! On a side note, due to school and other issues, my time spent working on the sit e has been severely limited; however, I will try my best now to get back to the swing of things. I have added a couple things to my to-do list in the near futur e: add more ROMs including Sony Playstation, and revamp the emulator section. Pl ease stay tuned for these updates and more!
