The identifiers of all Location Area Codes (LAC) used in the network are presented with the number of cells (BTS) under each LA. This report lists all PLMNs created in NetAct database and the number of objects in them. BCF SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE TYPE Report consists of 2 parts. STATISTICS Part 1 reports all the BCFs in the selected area. Part 2 gives summary by BCF types. BSC OPTION STATISTICS All the BSCs in the selected area are reported. Note: Only the options used in the BSC are listed. Information is updated to NetAct database only at upload. Later (at the earliest in T11) the data will be updated automatically. ROUTING AREAS The identifiers of all Routing Area Codes (RAC) used in the network are presented with the number of used (usd) and unused (nus) cells (BTS) under each RA. Used cell means a cell that is unlocked and its parent BCF is also unlocked. Unused cell means a cell that is locked and/or its parent BCF is locked. SEGMENT CONFIGURATION This report lists all base station sites of the selected Maintenance Region in alphabetical order. The number of cells (BTS) in each base station is counted for all existing BTSs in the network This report displays all base station sites sorted out by BSC name, BCF ID and BTS ID. Only those BTSs and TRXs are reported which have the <ACTUAL> value, i.e. those created in the network. This report lists the CIs, LACs and names of all cells in the selected BTS area sorted out according to CI and LAC. This script displays all BCFs or BTSs which have the given string in the name. Note that the search string is case sensitive! The search is done based on the BCF name. This script displays all cells (segments) which have the given Cell Identify and Location Area Code.

Checks
65 ADJACENCIES TO NON-EXISTING OR FOREIGN CELLS 60 ADJACENCY DISCREPANCIES 61 NON-SYMMETRICAL ADJACENCIES Normally every adjacency should be towards an existing cell This report lists the discrepancies of various parameters between the source cell adjacency parameters and target cell parameters. This report shows all missing adjacencies assuming that all adjacencies should be symmetrical (bidirectional). The missing adjacencies are sorted out by BSCs and segment names. The maintenance region is checked for source cells. This report displays all adjacencies where a cell and its adjacent cell have the same frequency (f) or adjacent (f-1 or f+1) frequency. The maintenance region is checked for source cells. For each pair of frequencies also the administrative state (S) of objects (BCF, TRX) is shown as well as the use of TRX (BCCH or TCH). Decoding of states (S): N= No state U= Unlocked S= Shutting down L= Locked Adjacent cells should never have the same BCCH and BSIC. The same frequencies should not be used in adjacent cells. Also the f-1 or f+1situation should be avoided if possible. Note: If the TRX is a BCCH TRX, the output power is maximal all the time. This report lists all cells having adjacent cells with the same frequency. This is a potential source of interference. Note: Every occurrence is listed twice. Input parameters: BTS area Instructions: The reported pairs of target cells have to be checked with network planners. This report shows pairs of cells that are adjacent cells of the same source cell and have the same NCC, BCC and BCCH frequency. This report contains all CI-LAC pairs that have been defined for at least two master BTSs. A CI-LAC pair must be unique throughout the entire network on segment level, but not on BTS level. This report lists all adjacencies - that are in the same BS site but are not synchronous . This is serious and may result in call failures and decrease . voice quality - that are not in the same BS site but are synchronous . This is serious and can result in call failures A synchronous HO means that the MS uses the old value of timing advance. A non-synchronous HO means that the MS finds the new value of timing advance. Normally only adjacent cells in the same site are synchronous for HO. This report shows the usage of the parameters in the network or part of it, including objects that have the value <ACTUAL> in c_bts. Instructions: Use the report 063 to find out the parameter differences on the BTS level. The checking is done over the BTSs in the selected area that use the defined band. The defaults are listed below. All discrepancies are reported. A comparison is made against the defaults stored in NetAct database. If the defaults are not yet generated they are inserted by this script. There is one default set for each of four possible bands: <DEFAULT>GSM900, <DEFAULT>GSM1800, <DEFAULT>GSM1900, <DEFAULT>GSM850. The defaults can be modified by using GUI. Instructions: 1) Run this report against a cell that you would like to use as default. . Then you will see how the defaults differ from the model cell. 2) Correct the defaults by using GUI. 3) Run the report over a larger area of cells. All objects under each BSC are checked if they don't belong to the same MR as the BSC or to any MR. This report shows the usage of the BSC-parameters in the network or part of it. The count of BSCs on the area selected. Instructions: Use the report 078 to find out the parameter differences.

78 BTS state conflict between BSC and MSC This report checks if the administrative state of BTS in MSC is different than the state in BSC, i.e. - Case 1: cell unlocked in MSC but either BCF or BTS is locked in BSC - Case 2: cell locked in MSC but BCF and BTS are unlocked in BSC (causes LUs) 53 AMR PARAMETERS 55 EGPRS PARAMETERS
Adjacencies
70 BTSs WITH MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ADJACENCIES 71 CELLS WITH MINIMUM NUMBER OF ADJACENCIES 72 DEFINED, UNDEFINED AND USED ADJACENCIES OF A CELL 73 UNDEFINED ADJACENT CELLS 74 ADJACENCIES OF CELLS This report shows the number of adjacencies for each cell in the network where this number exceeds the threshold. All cells should have at least one neighbour, and cells with few neighbours are unusual. This report helps detect cells with too few defined neighbours. This report shows the defined adjacencies (from NetAct database) and undefined adjacencies as seen and reported by a BSC. This report gives all undefined adjacent cells UAC (cells measured by MS but not defined as neighbour of the serving cell) for all BTSs in the selected area. This information can be used to check the network plan for adjacencies. For each adjacency the following parameters are given as the output. LAC Location area code of the target cell. CI Cell identification of the target cell. BCC Base station colour code of the target cell. FREQ BCCH frequency of the target cell.
Frequincies
110 OCCURRENCE OF FREQUENCIES 111 FREQUENCY PLAN This report shows the number of occurrences of each frequency. Only frequencies of used TRXs (TRX and its parent objects are unlocked) are counted. This report shows frequency plan related information about a BTS. In this report the cells are listed according to the dominant distance range, in other words the range having the biggest share of the meas. samples. The Distance Range is based on Timing Advance. In this report the cells are listed with the distance range. This report analyses the TCH observation recods and counts the distribution of the Timing Advance values per each TRX of the selected BTS. Occur Nbr of records havign the TA value. Share Percentual share of the records with the TA value out of all records.

20 ALARM STATISTICS There are five defined alarm classes: Critical (***), Major (**), Minor (*), Warning (W) This script analyses the alarms stored for the time period defined, and counts the number of instances of each alarm class. The script also reports on alarm counts for different network entities This report shows the number of alarms per object type. It has two parts. The first part gives the alarm statistics by alarm severity class, the second part shows the common statistics. The objects BCF, BTS, and TRX counted in this report are real working ones, i.e. all of them are unlocked and their parents are unlocked. This report checks NetAct database for different types of alarms and lists the alarming object, alarm ID, alarm name and alarm count for each alarm type within the given period. The check is performed for the whole network. This report checks NetAct database for different types of alarms and lists the alarm urgency class, amount of alarm, alarming object, alarm ID and alarm name for each alarm type within the given period and selected BSC(s). The list is sorted by urgency class and the amount of alarms. In order to find out the sources and occurrences of a particular alarm you may run report 030. All alarms with a given id that are started within the given period are arranged with alarm start time shown in descending order. The 'BCCH missing' alarm stands for cell outage. These alarms are listed in chronological order per BSC. In S7, the alarm ID changes from 2567 to 7767. This report searches for both IDs. The sum time of selected alarm is calculated for each BTS (cell) in minutes over the given period. The BCCH missing alarms (2567 until S7, 7767 since S7) receivd from the area during the given period are presented for all BTSs over a period of 10 days. The number in the table means the number of occurrences of 'BCCH missing' alarms (i.e. the start of BTS outage) during the day. Note that the BCCH missing alarm means that the BTS has been down. Alarms (ID given by user) received from the network are presented for all MSCs over 10 days.
