3. AKSHAY 107 (PRCH-31 Bt) Benefits: PRCH 103 Bt comes with bollgard technology, which protects the cotton crop from bollworms (Spotted bollworm, American bollworm and Pink bollworm) and results in higher yields. Semi erect and vigorous plants with deep root system Continue long boll bearing series (sympodia) Good hairiness favors best tolerance against sucking pests Good fiber quality o Fiber length (mm) : 27 28 o Ginning % : 37 o Fiber strength (g/tex) : 31-32 Fiber fineness o (micronaire value) : 4.5 Early maturing hybrid can be cultivated even under rainfed conditions. High yield potential o Rainfed 15 20 q /ha o Irrigated 20 25 q / ha
[B] Traditional Hybrid cotton varieties 1. Intra-specific Hybrids: (Gossypium hirsutum) or Intra hirsutum hybrids
GIRNAR Semi erect & vigorous plant with profuse branching Very big sized bright-light green normal leaves Very big boll size Roundish oblong boll shape favors best boll bursting (opening) Very good ginning out turn and good fiber qualities. Matures within 180-200 days Specifically recommended for irrigated condition. High yield potentiality
AKSHAY 812 Early maturing hybrid suited for rainfed condition Medium big boll size Drought tolerant hybrid Moderately tolerant to bollwarms and sucking pest
OMRI This variety developed in joint research collaboration with Israeli seed company Hazeera Limited Semi erect growth habit with profuse branching Wide adaptability and drought tolerant Medium boll size First flower at 40 to 45 days Continues flush and flowering throughout the growing season Very good hairiness favors best tolerance against sucking pests Early maturing hybrid and can be cultivated in dry areas also.

After 90 days of sowing, takeup foliar spray of 19:19:19 twice with a gap of 15 days. Dosage is 1 Kg per acre.
Micronutrient management:
Based on the need, take care of micronutrient requirement for the crop. Zinc Sulphate Spray twice with a gap of 10 days @ 2 gm per litre of water. Magnesium Sulphate Spray twice with a gap 15 days @ 10 gm perl litre of water. Boron Spray twice with a gap of 10 days @ 1.5 g per litre of water.
Plant Protection:
Sucking pest control : Since these seeds are treated with immidacloprid, based on the need take up control measures for sucking pests. The insecticides recommended are Imidacloprid-0.5 ml/lit of water or Acetamiprid-0.2 gm/litre of water orThoimetaxom-0.2gms/litre of water. Disease Control: Based on the need, suitable control measures for Diseases are to be taken up:
o For the control of Alteranaria, Grey mildew and CercosporaMancozeb@3gms/litre of water. o For the black arm disease control, spray copper oxychloride 3gms/liter of water in combination with 1gm/liter of Streptocyclin or Plantomycin. o Suggested chemicals for the control of Tobacco Caterpillar (Spodoptera): Use Chlorpyrifos @ 750 ml per acre. Larvin @ 250 gms/acre or Rimon @ 200 ml/Ac, Proclaim@100gms/Ac Alternatively, follow the recommendations of the state Agriculture universities in respective states.
