SECTION 16865 DIGITAL SIGNAGE SYSTEM

PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 SECTION INCLUDES A. The Work under this Section consists of furnishing and installation of a complete Digital signage system as indicated on the drawings and as specified in this section. The System shall be High Definition (HD) IP based, using the existing TCP/IPLAN.

SUBMITTALS A. The Contractor shall submit list of materials and equipment to be incorporated in the work including complete manufacturer's diagram and circuit routing of the system. List of materials and equipment shall be supported by sufficient descriptive materials, such as catalog cuts, diagrams and other data published by the manufacturer to demonstrate conformance with the specification requirements. Catalog numbers alone shall not be accepted. Complete Installation and Operation Manual.

QUALITY ASSURANCE A. The following association and organization shall be referred to with respect to standards as they apply to the materials and equipment provided under this Section. Single Source Responsibility: All components and accessories shall be product of single manufacturer.

WARRANTY A. Submit manufacturers written warranty for period of 1 year from substantial completion for the repair or replacement of defective materials and workmanship.

PARTS 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 GENERAL A. Digital signage system shall be complete as shown in drawings. Digital signage system and accessories shall be approved by the engineer.

Digital signage system shall be complete as shown in drawings which will provide programmable time. The system shall consist of master software programmer, LCD displays, Digital signage player ,Editing machine and all necessary wiring and accessories to provide a complete and workable system. Equipment and components shall conform to applicable requirements to Article 810 of NFPA 70 and shall be UL listed. All electronic components shall comply with the appropriate standards of Electronics Industries Association (EIA).

EDITING MACHINE: A. Editing machine shall enable editing for video files combining with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and a simple I/O card. DIGITAL SIGNAGE PLAYER: A. Digital Media Player shall enable to send one, two three or four high definition stream to a different display. This versatile unit supports a wide range of graphics formats including MPG2, 3, 4 H264 and others. Each unit can support of delivery up to four channels, integrated Smartcard reader provides enhanced security and makes it easy to add options such as satellite multicasting, Dolby Digital audio, and genlocked external AV input. The digital signage player shall be connected to the TCP/IPLAN for programming and streaming.

PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 INSTALLATION A. The entire system shall be installed by specialist subcontractor approved by the Engineer. Wiring shall be executed in accordance with the applicable portions of Section 16050 - BASIC MATERIALS AND METHODS. The entire system shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's written instructions and shop drawings.

3.2

TESTING A. Tests shall be conducted as recommended by the manufacturer and supervised by the Engineer. The test results and certificates shall be submitted to the Engineer.
