1.0 Sealed Tenders are invited on behalf of President of India by Project Director, KNRPC, NRB, BARC, Kalpakkam 603102, Kancheepuram District, Tamilnadu from the contractors who have carried out Equipment erection and SS Piping works as per ASME. Fabrication and Erection of Piping Sub assemblies for PCW System. Rs 1,67,04,000/Rs. 3,34,080/Rs. 1,050/- inclusive of Sales Tax 5% of the Tendered value of the work 5% of the Tendered value of the work 11 Months 27th May, 2013 to 14th June, 2013. 17th June, 2013 14.30 Hrs on 21st June, 2013. 15.00 Hrs on 21st June, 2013.

2.0 Tender document can be obtained only in person during office hours on a written request along with documentary evidence as listed below and on payment of Rs. 1,050/- by cash to the Pay & Accounts Officer, BARC Facilities, Kalpakkam, Tamilnadu. For any reasons, what so ever, last date of receipt & opening of tender happens to be a holiday, the tender will be received and opened on the next working day. 2.1 Tender document can be obtained in person only and on production of documentary proof of the following i) Having carried out Equipment erection and SS piping works as per ASME Section-III. ii) Company profile and organization chart. iii) Average annual financial turnover during the last three years, ending 31stMarch of the previous financial year, should be at least Rs. 1 Crore. iv) Bank solvency certificate. v) Experience of having completed similar works during last 7 years ending last day of month previous to the one in which applications are invited should be either of the following: a) Three similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost or b) Two similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the estimated cost or c) One similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost

vi) IT returns for the last 3 years. vii) Having the required engineering organization and financial capability. 2.2 Please note that to enter KNRPC, NRB, B.A.R.C., photo-identity card (passport, driving license, voters identity card, identity card issued by the employer, etc.) is a must. Prior confirmation on phone 044 27480500 / 27480140 + Extn 43916 / 22310 shall be taken to arrange for the entry to NRB, B.A.R.C. 3.0 Tenders not accompanied by the following are liable to be summarily rejected: I. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) in the form of Deposit at Call Receipt or Crossed Demand Draft from State Bank of India/Canara Bank drawn in favor of Pay & Accounts Officer, BARC Facilities, payable at Kalpakkam. II. The Tenderer shall be required to place the Earnest Money Deposit and the tender in separate sealed covers. All the covers are to be clearly written as EMD and Tender on the respective covers. All the two covers are to be placed in another sealed envelope and the Tender no and Name of the work shall be written clearly and submitted. The envelope containing the EMD shall be opened first. If the EMD is found to be in order then only the envelope containing the tender will be opened. 4.0 Performance Guarantee The successful tenderer, hereafter referred to as the contractor, shall deposit an amount equal to the 5 percent of the tendered and accepted value of the work (without limit) as Performance Guarantee in one of the following forms:(i) Government Securities (ii) Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR) of a Scheduled Bank (iii) An irrevocable bank guarantee bond of any scheduled bank or the State Bank of India in the prescribed form. The performance guarantee shall be refunded soon after the completion of the work and recording of the completion certificate in the Measurement Book. 5.0 Security Deposit A sum at the rate of 5 percent of the gross amount of the bill shall be deducted from each running bill of the contractor till the sum along with the sum already deposited as earnest money amounts to security deposit of 5 percent of the tendered amount of the work. Such deductions will be made and held by way of Security Deposit unless the contractor deposited the amount. The Security Deposit will be refunded only after the prescribed maintenance period / Defect Liability Period as stipulated in the agreement. The prescribed maintenance period / Defect Liability Period will commence from the date of recording of completion certificate in the Measurement Book. 6.0 The Tender for the work shall remain valid for acceptance for a period of 90 Days from the date of opening of the tender. For all other conditions, Tender Document may be referred. 7.0 The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to annul the process and reject all the bids at any time, without assigning any reason or incurring any liability to the bidders.
