) Watchtowers: We call upon the Guardians of the Watchtowers of the West, centre of Water and the Metaphysical, guard and protect us during this rite! We call upon the Guardians of the Watchtowers of the North, centre of Earth and Wisdom, guard and protect us during this rite! We call upon the Guardians of the Watchtowers of the East, centre of Air and Illumination, guard and protect us during this rite! We call upon the Guardians of the Watchtowers of the South, centre of Fire and Passion, guard and protect us during this rite! Invocation/Evocation (since wer're not really invoking them into ourselves, just asking them to be there, it's really an Evocation) We envoke thee 'O Ancient and Wise Ones to join us during this Samhain rite! (we can change the wording here.) Explanation Samhain, or Hallowmas is the Pagan New Year. It is also the time of year when the veils between the worlds is thinnest. (I'm not great at intro's, so if you want to spice it up more, please feel free. I kinda got a writers block after the second line... LOL) Pictures A time where people can leave pictures on the Altar, say a prayer/memory . Divination Again, feel free to do intro here Calling to Light In the days of Old, bells were tolled to draw lost souls to their funeral so they could be guided to the afterlife. This is mimicked now a days, but the meaning is mostly lost, and often times, just not done at all. Sometimes a spirit becomes lost or confused to to the trauma of death, and is, for whatever reason, unable to transition to the afterlife. The ritual of the Calling to Light revives this near-forgotten tradition, and will help those lost spirits transgress to the Summerlands. A bell will be rung out ounce every few seconds, during wich, silent prayers may be offered, after the 13th toll, we shall guide the spirits that have gathered to the Summerlands. (participants can feel free to sit or get comfortable.) 13 Tolls Spirits that have gathered, Hear us! Now is the time for you to follow the light to charon's boat, journey with him across the River Styx, through the lands of the Shades, to the Summerlands. Fear not! for there are loved ones to guide you on your way.

Now if everyone will please focus your thoughts/energies to guide the spirits. Let them know that it is OK to move on. Allow a few moments of silence when the time feels right, begin the farewells O' Ancient and Wise Ones, we thank thee for joining us during this rite!
