The Salesian Community at Joe Tech Basin Bridge caters to the poor and deserving youth through Technical Training (formal & non-formal), engineering workshops, a non-formal Carpentry section along with production unit, parish ministry, youth centre, elementary school, evening study centres, DBSSS, women empowerment associations and hostel for working men. The spiritual and faith formation of the lay faithful around the institution is taken care of by the Mary Help of Christians Church. Mass is celebrated daily in the parish church. The Parish has been given to the province in perpetuity.

Devotions in the Parish: First Friday Adoration, Monthly Marian Novena, 24th Devotion to MHOC and commemoration of Don Bosco is very regular. The parish feast is solemnized by novena and celebration on the next Sunday after 24th May. Every Month, Amavasai Prayer is conducted by Bro. Christopher and Sr. Benedicta from 09.00 p.m. to 04.00 a.m.

Spiritual and motivational programmes are offered regularly to the beneficiaries. The Scout movement is also active. There are 20 scouts and 25 guides. Other services offered at the Youth Centre: Typing, Evening Study, Gymnasium, counseling, Scouts and Guides and working mens hostel. There are altogether 28 inmates staying at the working mens hostel. There are altogether 52 boys and 44 girls are taken care of in the evening study centres with the help of 13 teachers in 3 centres.
