Steps To Create a UI Component With an Advanced Search View and assigning it to a work center( SALES CYCLE ) of SALESPRO Business

Role.

1. Go TO transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB and give the component name and click on create

2. Save in a package and the system asks for package more than once be patience and save all the setting under one package. After the creation of component click on Runtime Repository Editor as shown below.

Note: In the process of creating UI-Component, system has to create component controlles and interfaces and many other thing so thats the reason the system asks for package more than once.

3.Now we have to link the UI-Component With Component-set for that Right-Click on models and choose Add Model.

4. Now, here we get dialogue screen asking for component-set. Provide component-set . Note: - Here Im Providing The Component-set as ALL.

Note: - The most important step in creating a UI-Component is linking it with our required component-set.

5. After adding the component set, we can see BOL Model Browser is available on right side under that we can see a the component available in the Component-set ( ALL ). Note: - IF BOL Model Browser is not available just come out of the work-bench and enter into your component once again.

6. Now go to Component Structure Browser and Right-Click on Views and Choose Create Search Page.

Note: - Create Search Page is a new Feature available in EPH1 with help of this wizard we can easily create the Advanced Search views.

7. Just click on continue in the first step of the wizard, in the second step it ask for names ,to Search View, Result View, View set provide them and click on continue. Note: - Here I have provided the default names suggested by wizard.

8. In the third step the wizard asks for the Query Node and Result Node provide them by using the F4 Help.

Note: - F4 help On Query Node, shows all the Query Objects Available in Component-Set. Similarly F4 help on Result Node Provides all the Query Result Objects available in the Component-Set. 9. The other Two steps are not mandatory so u can skip them by clicking on continue, at the final step click on complete.

9. After Completing save them under a package (system ask for package more then) after that we can see there are three views are created as shown in the below image.

Note: - The main advantage of using the wizard is the system generates everything in the background view sets navigation links etc. everything is generated in the background u can see them by clicking on Run Time Repository Editor. 10. Now Double Click on Search Query View, under Configuration tab we set the search criteria. Just add the fields on left to right with which you want to make a search operation.

11. Similar to step 10 we can also configure the Result fields. Just double Click the Search Result View, under Configuration tab you can configure.

12. The Advance Search View is done. Now you can test it by clicking on test.

13. Browser open, displaying the search view you have created you can click on search and result is displayed as shown below.
