The protection of the environment is an ongoing process. As such continuous improvements are required to live up to our environmental accountability to consumers, suppliers, employees and the generations to come. Each human being is in direct contact with his environment. As such, environmental protection is of enormous importance to PUMA and also poses challenges ahead. Our aim is not only to make environmentally compatible production of our goods transparent, but also to continuously improve our standards. We spend enormous efforts in phasing out the material PVC from all our products. Actually we are proud to say that all our products are PVC free. As well being engaged in several working committees on product related environmental issues ensures us that our standards are always updated. We take our responsibility towards our customers.

Sustainable Development

S.A.F.E

PUMA acknowledges its responsibility towards its shareholders, customers, business partners and the environment and follows the principle of sustainable development. With our S.A.F .E. concept (Social Accountability und Fundamental Environmental Standards) PUMA developed a strategy to ensure a sustainable implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility issues along the supply chain. The S.A.F .E. concept is based on two parts: 1. National, international and own environmental standards 2. Stringent social standards based on Intl. Conventions and Standards such as those set by the International Labour Organization (ILO), SA 8000 (Standard for Social Accountability), other NGOs as well as PUMAs own standards, including internationally-recognized workplace health & safety regulations such as those developed by OSHAs (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). True to the adage that responsibility starts at home , these standards are primarily upheld by the PUMA S.A.F .E. Audit Team, a group that monitors partner manufacturers and works with the rest of the company in promoting the S.A.F .E. concept. By rigorously enforcing the S.A.F .E. principles, PUMA is able to ensure that labor is not exploited and that production methods are continuously revised. In addition to the S.A.F .E. monitoring efforts, PUMA is a member of the Fair Labor Association, which conducts independent, external and unannounced audits of 5% of PUMAs supplier base annually.

PUMA motorsport Sole

Ultimate performance known from the world of motorsport. The hard-wearing rubber outsole is teamed with a low density lightweight PU midsole, the iCELL shock absorber and special flex grooves in the sole pattern to give ultimate performance, flexibility and comfort. The round heel area supports the natural motion of the foot and offers maximum wearing comfort not only at the throttle.

Rubber Outsole
The design of the robust, up to 572F heat resistant and slip resistant (ASTM F 1677 Mark II) rubber outsole was inspired by motor racing technologies. Diagonally placed grooves in the sole pattern give optimum fluid dispersal and ground contact.

iCELL
The iCELL technology enhances the cushioning and stabilizing value of the shoe and provides superior comfort to the wearer. iCELL is a structure of highly resilient hexagonal cells. The specific placement of the cells increases the cushioning characteristics as well as stability and guidance of the shoe.

evercushion GEL moto

Anatomically designed full footbed with arch support, heel cradle and hydrophobic, antibacterial cover fabric for superior sweat management. It provides optimum support and correct posture.
