National Issues BHOs Dropping Popularity.

Obama Supporters Petition to Grant Him Immunity for All Crimes He Commits in Office. BHOs approval ratings continue to drop; Sixty-one percent (61%) now expect the health care system to get worse over the next couple of years. BHO averaged 47.9% job approval during his 18th quarter in office, the second consecutive quarter his approval has declined, after it increased for five consecutive quarters leading up to his 2012 re-election.

Constitutional Law. I listened last week to Mark Levin hawk his new book on the radio last week [The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic]; he graduated from Cheltenham High School [as did I], so I harbor a certain affinity for his forthrightness. His stories about the Reagan Administration are fascinating; in this tome, he argues the states should call for a Constitutional Convention and, therein, details what he would wish to see emerge. {My problem with this approach is that ANYTHING could emerge, including explicit erosion of the Bill of Rights.}

Racism? Due to the ongoing drumbeat, what had been a focus on Martin/Zimmerman has been retitled; Zimmerman emerged from hiding to help to Rescue a Family in a Car Crash by grabbing-a-fireextinguisher-and-pulling-them-from-overturned-suv. Trayvon is More Important Than Victims of Daily Gang Violence to some; Kevin Jackson discounted BHOs Racial Comments. rolling-stones-madonna-rodstewart-to-join-stevie-wonders-boycott-of-florida; anti-semitism-abounded-at-anti-zimmermanprotest-with-t-shirt-saying-you-ashkenazi-crafted-devil. As OBAMAS SON Trayvon was noted to have emitted 20 Disgusting Tweets, Chuck-Todd-led-a-cowardly-discussion-on-race and a cnn-anchorlectured-a-conservative-radio-host-on-his-white-privilege.

Detroit. Trump claimed both that Detroit is 'Total Mess,' and that More Cities will Follow; Ed Schultzblamed-Detroit-on-GOP. Amazing-facts-about-fall-of-detroit-were-compiled and, as it was recalled that BHO said in the 2012 campaign that 'We refused to let Detroit go bankrupt,' the FORMER OBAMA CAR CZAR recommended a BAIL-OUT.

Economy. Jobs Crisis Far Worse Than Official Data Show, as newest-numbers-tell-a-tale-of-twocountries; even Pope Francis Warned of Perils of Global Unemployment, as membership-in-publicworker-unions-took-a-hit-under-act-10 in Wisconsin. Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ) claimed Dodd-Frank. is unconstitutional during a lecture @ the Cato Institute; I met him a half-decade ago [as Guzzardis date @ a small Sunday-p.m. $-raiser in North-Jersey] and found him to be well-referenced and personable. This was reported by Michael Zak [whose slim tome on the history of the GOP is worth memorizing, if only knowing it is extensively referenced].

Immigration Reform. This classic continues to be highlighted, for it illustrates the split in the GOP: Bill OReilly Battles Laura Ingraham On Immigration. HOUSE IMMIGRATION REFORM DRAFTERS WANT PAUL RYAN TO CO-SPONSOR BILL and the CA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS TARGETING CA HOUSE REPUBLICANS ON IMMIGRATION; boehner-rebuffs-questions-about-key-immigration-issue, perhaps, because VOTERS SHIFTING RIGHT FORCE HOUSE GOP TO KEEP PACE. The WH PRESS CORPS LAUGHED WHEN CARNEY SAYS AMNESTY WILL 'RAISE WAGES' and POLLING SHOWED LATINO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FAVOR DEMS 8-TO-1; under-reported was the fact that a 13-year-old girl was raped by more than a dozen illegals in Texas. Howard Hyman noted the irony that You can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for being in the country illegally.

Abortion. MSNBCs MELISSA HARRIS PERRY PROTESTED TEXAS LAW WITH TAMPON EARRINGS, prompting a friend to query: Why didn't she just wear aborted fetuses as earrings? They feel no pain, after all.

Second Amendment. Howard Hyman noted: We are told NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics. BUT...We are told TO judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics!

Media & Politics Helen Thomas. This anti-Semite was extolled by Andrea Mitchell on Morning Joe, ending her comment with recognition that she had stumbled @ the end of her career [without citing the quote], and had apologizedbut that this shouldnt matter; that she had doubled-down instead of apologizing, this again reflects poorly upon this former-Philadelphian. Meanwhile, others recalled that Helen Thomas Told Me to Go Home. helen-thomas-and-bias-in-the-press-anti-semitism Progressive-Media. Set to launch next month, another liberal/progressive news-outlet Al Jazeera America announced its President is ABC's Kate O'Brian and Dave Shuster will be an anchor. I vividly recall how the latter newsman was fired from MSNBC and how he ambush-interviewed Rep. Marsha Blackburn [whose district includes Fort Knox] when he asked her the name of the last soldier from her district who had died in Iraq; when she did not know, he triumphantly blurted-outthe incorrect nameand had to apologize formally thereafter. Conservative-Media. Howard Kurtz [one of the saner voices at CNN] left CNN for a position at Fox News. Miscellaneous. Obamaphone Company Launched Ad Campaign to Combat Negative Image. Rep. Cohen claimed Paternity Fiasco Makes Me Black; I heard him this-a.m. on Morning Joe and was simply bewildered. For whatever reason, Cops Won't Run Coaster Death Investigation. House Politics. Fitzpatrick wrote essay advocating use of made-in-the-usa-label-to-bring-manufacturingback-to-america; Shuster Picks Up Second Challenger [a topic which prompted me to blog]. Senate Politics. I posted numerous articles on Facebook documenting the tremendous attention being paid to the potential candidacy of Senator Cruz [https://www.facebook.com/SenatorTedCruz and https://www.facebook.com/groups/534946603207523/] and it appears that republicans-may-bedissatisfied-with-their-2016-field, but, "By all accounts, Ted Cruz, a man who has been in the Senate for all of seven months and was virtually unknown on the national scene just a year ago, dazzled Republicans during a weekend visit to Iowa. That was due first, of course, to Cruzs considerable appeal as a politician. But the intensity of Cruz-mania could also reflect an emerging Republican unhappiness with the partys 2016 presidential field." rand-paul-and-ted-cruz-may-be-battling, but Ted is cruising. Meanwhile, kentucky-republican-matt-bevin-will-announce-challenge-to-mitch-mcconnell. McCain. He remains problematic. He joined-BHO-in-criticism-of-self-defense-laws, and he endorsed Enzi; this may explain why the media keep inviting him to speak on the Sunday Talk-Shows.
