Summary Statement

102 at risk high school students received tutoring/mentoring support during the 2011-2012 program year from the ABC Program. Outcome data were collected using each sites own instruments to determine improvements in participating students academic engagement (i.e., school attendance, motivation, and/or homework completion) resulting from the support they received from ABC Program. Outcome data was available for a total of 45 students from three of five sites. Of the 45 students for which data were available, 67% of the students (30) showed improvement on at least one measure of academic engagement. This exceeds the projected target of 60%.
