Job Title: School Services Coordinator

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Reporting to the Business Manager, School of Social and Community Services, the incumbent is accountable for the timely and accurate provision of administrative support to the Dean, Associate Dean and Business Manager, and occasionally Program Coordinators over approximately 10 program areas that include degree, postgraduate certificates and diplomas. The incumbent will be responsible for developing schedules for the School of Social and Community Services that meet the needs of students and faculty and are in line with curriculum requirements and the Collective Agreement. The incumbent will also be responsible for generating employment contracts for staff, complying with guidelines set out in the Collective Agreement and providing administrative support for the Continuing Education department on an as needed basis. Hours of Work: 35 hours per week Skill Testing Required: YES

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will possess a three year diploma/degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible and practical work experience in an administrative position, preferably with an educational institution or similar environment is required. The incumbent will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, strong problem solving and analytical skills, excellent word processing and computer skills, excellent time management and interpersonal skills and must have the ability to meet conflicting deadlines and cope with changing priorities.
