02. Mission Activities at Our Lady of Victories: The Salesian community at St. Antonys Church caters to the faith formation of the faithful in the parish and social and economic upliftment of the people through VIA. Besides these, the boarding at Adamangalam provides accommodation for the poor boys from faraway places. STATISTICAL DETAILS OF THE MISSION i. ii. Social Ministry - VIA: The women empowerment programme under the title Vetri Pengal Munnetra Sangam operates at Village Integral Animation (VIA) centre, Adamangalam. The organizing team consists of a Salesian, religious nuns (2) and 5 lay staff (1 male and 4 female) The important activities undertaken at this centre are as follows: 1. SHGs: 200 groups 2. Creche: 8 centres 3. Evening study centres: 11 4. Tailoring centre: 20 students

Boarding: The boarding caters to 23 poor and deserving boys around Adamangalam who undergo schooling at Government Boys Hr. Sec. School. There are 13 girls who are residing at Veeralur under the care of FSJ sisters. They have daily mass and are followed up with spiritual care. Spiritual Animation:

Daily Mass, Morning and night prayers, Commemoration of DB, feast days, daily rosary, confessions, retreat, night vigil, etc.

Creche: There are altogether 8 centres in the villages namely, Veeralur, Kanthapalayam, Gengavaram, Kettavarampalayam, Kattavaram, Adamangalam, Melarani and Elluparai which caters to 110 children.

iii. Health Care Ministry: The Medical Health care centre on an average receives 60 to 70 patients every day. The centre has improvised with a medical lab. A doctor visits the centre twice a week. The health care centre has been registered under CHAI (Catholic Health Association of India). Sr. Leo FSJ takes care of the centre assisted by a lab-technician.
