1. Selection criteria
The scholarship is open to citizens of the Republic of Mauritius; Applicant to demonstrate acceptance for a seat on the first year full time Undergraduate degree programme; The scholarship is open to students from all faculties (Agriculture/Engineering/Law & Management/Science/Social Studies & Humanities) who will be enrolled in the first year undergraduate programme in 2013; Applicant must produce evidence of good academic performance at the last HSC examinations or International Baccalaureate; The academic ability of the student will be assessed during an interview which will be conducted by the Standard Bank Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. Assessment will be made on merit; The family monthly income must not exceed Rs 15,000; The applicant must not be beneficiary of any other grants or scholarships.

3. Scholarship
The Scholarship will cover General Fees (including Student Welfare Fund and NTA) for the whole duration of the degree programme (not to exceed 4 years), the funding is limited to an amount of Rs 30,000 per academic year. A monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 is also included in the scholarship. The stipend will be granted during the whole duration of the programme; The scholarship will cease with immediate effect in case the Awardee does not achieve a minimum Cumulative Point Average (CPA) of 50 % after 2 consecutive semesters/at the end of an academic year.
