AEIF PROPOSAL: Tag-in EARTH: Sustainable Consumerism & Eco-Labeling For Earth

Goal
We are offering better food quality and protection in an environmental-friendly way.

Possible Beneficiaries
Consumers (i.e: mothers, babies, children) and poor local farmers

Targeted Outcomes
It will promote local production and support poor local farmers. It will increase organic food consumption It will promote using raw materials It will reduce water and energy usage It will increase awareness of consumers about healthy foods and environmental protection

Metrics
After we will give the restaurants and the groceries, which fulfill our requirements, the tag -in earth labels, there will be an after-control system to check the restaurants and groceries. According to this system, volunteer students will control these restaurants and determine if they continue to fulfill requirements. Also this system will be supported by costumer-forum in which customers will share their feedbacks and give their points member-restaurants and member-groceries. According to these points, at the end of every year an award will be given to the restaurant and to the grocery which gain the most numbers of points.

Promotion
It will be promoted by volunteers. A committee organization will be created in which volunteer students and other volunteers will be member of this organization. This project will be developed according to act-feedback strategy; according to that the restaurants which full-fill the requirements and get the tagin earth labels, their names will be advertised by our web-site, by social-media. Additionally they will be promoted in schools, universities and especially in the poor regions of the city. (Mostly, people who live in poor regions face with difficulty to find healthy foods.) Some events will be organized in tagged restaurants in order to increase public-awareness about importance of healthy and environmentally-friendly foods. Some work-shops will be organized to educate consumers especially the mothers about importance of consuming healthier foods.

Steps and Timeline


1. A committee organization will be created in which volunteers, especially the volunteer mothers and students will take part. 2. a. b. 3. After we give them our label, after-control system will be applied to these restaurants and groceries: a. Are they still full-filling our requirements?

4. Interactive control: At this stage consumers of these restaurants and groceries will share their feedbacks and comments with us and other consumers. Secondly, consumers will able to rate these restaurants and groceries. 5. According to rates of consumers, an award will be given to the restaurants and groceries which is also a good opportunity for them to publicize themselves.

6. As a result, not only consumers but also restaurant and groceries will benefit from tag-in Earth label. An awareness will be created and people will be encouraged to eat better quality foods which are produced in an environmentally-friendly way.
