Other Terms: For consignments that are voluminous in nature, billing will be done on Volumetric basis as under:
1cft X 1cft X 1cft= 8Kgs Risk charges: The consignments have to be insured by you for Transit on Owners Risk. DTDC will charge additional Freight on Value FOV @ 0.2% of the Invoice/Declared Value as Owners risk charges (to a minimum of Rs. 100.00 per consignment) wherein DTDC liability towards all kind of loss and damages in transit will be to issue a Certificate of Facts. In the event you want DTDC to cover the Transit Risk under Carrier risk we will charge @ 4.0% of the Invoice/Declared Value as risk charges (to a minimum of Rs. 200.00 per consignment), wherein, DTDC would compensate in the uneventful case of any damage, shortage within a box, fire, theft, pilferage, seepage etc. to the extent of actual loss in transit only. (Excluding consequential OR opportunity related loss, natural calamities and acts of God).

For non-documents shipments, relevant and necessary road permits / entry permits as per statutory requirements by various state authorities shall be made available to us to avoid any delay at the entry points at the respective states. Octroi / Sales Tax / VAT duty / penalty charges, if any, will have to be borne by the consignor / consignee. A service charge for any
opening/closing of FormN/ FormCC/ FormR/ FormC for octroi formalities would be charged @ Rs. 300.00 per consignment.

Service Tax will be charged @ 12.36% of the total freight amount of waybill will be levied as Service Tax OR as per the Govts New Financial Notification.
Fuel Linked Freight Clause: The rates above will be treated as the base prices with reference to the current fuel price as on the date of offer. We will be charging Fuel Surcharge 35% on the freight amount. Claims: Settlement of any claims arising out of consignments booked on payment of carriers risk charged @ 4% of the value of consignments will not come in the way of freight payments. No deductions of freight are permissible against any current or past claims. The claims are paid separately with no accounting link to the freight payment is the pre requisite of settlement of any claim.

Any necessary insurance shall be arranged by you. Billing will be monthly. Payment to be made within 7 days after submission of invoice.

Proof of delivery will be provided as and when required. Cheques to be drawn in the favour of Eskon Corporation.
Arbitration: Its been agreed that all disputes that may arise out of this agreement will be settled through Arbitrator appointed through mutual consent. General: Only consignments permitted to be carried by law is accepted by DTDC and anything of hazardous nature or chemicals, inflammables, currency notes, gold or silver items etc. are not accepted / carried. The responsibility for any wrong declaration and the consequences arising out of the same will be Customers. DTDC accepts no responsibility / liability for leakage under Carriers Act.
