Function of different parts present in the filling yarn path diagram of the air jet loom

Package:
it provides the yarn needed to weave the fabric, it should have a tail at its end. The tail end of the running package should be tied up the stopped package of the loom. This will give continuous production of the machine. So the efficiency and production of the machine will increase. Buckled nose of package: This nose will give an indication to the weaver to put the package in which direction in the package folder. The buckled nose of package should always be put at first in holder. This will help to stop the barre mark in the fabric. Balloon breaker: This parts help to control the balloon shape of yarn in the machine in order to overcome the entanglement of yarn with machine parts. Tensioner: It is used to control the tension of the filling yarn. If the yarn become lose then the yarn will create snarl in it, this will result entanglement of the yarn with machine parts. Which will cause more yarn breakage and lower efficiency. Sensor: it senses the breakage of yarn

prewinder/optical pulling drum:


it is used to store the yarn for pick insertion and release definite amount of yarn in the machine. The length of pick is obtain by the 4 rotation of the prewinder. A machine with 2 prewinders having rpm of 800. If the weft insertion ratio of the prewinders is 1:1 then speed fo the both prewinder will be 1600 each. A machine with 2 prewinders having rpm of 800. If the weft insertion ratio of the prewinders is 3: 5, then speed of the 1st prewinder =800x(3/8)x4=1200, and rpm of the 2nd prewinder =800x(5/8)x4=2000.

PFT (programmable filling tensioner):


It will create pressure on the weft yarn after being inserted to make it straight in the shed. Fixed nozzle and movable nozzle:

They will give proper air pressure on the yarn to fly properly in the shed of warp.

Relay valve and relay nozzle:


They are 12 relay valves and 24 relay nozzles in the air machine of picanol. They used to give proper air supply to the yarn to fly though the shed.

Stress nozzle:
It is situated at the end of the sley board to give extra air pressure to filling so that it doesnt get back

FD1 (filling detector 1):


It detects the presence and absence of filling yarn. If the yarn is absent in its detection then FD1 will stop the machine.

FD2 (filling detector 2):


It is also used to detects the presence and absence of filling yarn. If yarn is present in its detection then FD2 will stop the machine. It will in the monitor that filling too long.
