I AM AMONG YOU AS ONE WHO SERVES

LET US REMEMBER THAT WE ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD. IN THE NAME OF GOD OUR CREATOR WHO CALLS US, JESUS OUR REDEEMER WHO LEADS US, AND THE SPIRIT OF OUR ANIMATOR WHO INSPIRES US, WE PRAY All you people, clap your hands; raise a joyful shout to God. For the most high is awesome, glorious over all earth. Sing praise to God, sing praise, for God is the Most High over all earth. Sing hymns of praise.

God rules over all nations; God sits upon the holy throne. The nobles of the nations are gathered with the people God has chosen. Over all God is exalted. [Ps 47]

READING
An argument broke out among the disciples as to which one of them should be thought of as the greatest. Jesus said to them, The kings of the pagan have power over their people, and the rulers claim the title Friends of the People. But it not the way it is with you; rather, the greatest one among you must be like the youngest, and the leader must like the servant. Who is greater, the one who sits down to eat or the one who serves him? The one who sits down of course. But I am one among you as one who serves. [Luke 22:24-27]

RESPONSE
Since you are ambassadors and ministers of Jesus Christ in the work that you do, you must act as representing Jesus Christ himself. He wants your disciples to see him in you and receives your teaching as if he were teaching them

They must be convinced that the truth of Jesus Christ comes from your mouth, that it is only in his name that you teach, that he has given you authority over them. In order to fulfill your responsibility with as much perfection and care as God requires of you, frequently give yourself to the spirit of our Lord to act only under His influence and not through any self-seeking. [MTR3:2

READING
After they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon son of John, do you love me more than these others do? Yes Lord, he answered, You know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Take care of my lambs. A second time Jesus said to him, Simon son of John, do you love me? Yes, Lord, he answered, You know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Take care of my sheep. A third time Jesus said, Simon son of John, do you love me? Peter became sad because Jesus asked him the third time, Do you love me? and so he said to him, Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you! Jesus said to him, Take care of my sheep. I am telling you the truth: when you were young, you used to get ready and go anywhere you wanted to, but when you

were old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you up and take you where you dont want to go. Jesus said to him, Follow me!

RESPONSE
The spirit of the Lord will give him wisdom and the knowledge and skill to rule his people. He will know the Lords will and have reverence for Him. and find pleasure in obeying him. He will not judge by appearance or hearsay; he will judge the poor fairly and defend the right of the helpless. He will rule his people with justice and integrity. [Isaiah 11:2-5]

REFLECTION
There are only three kinds of leaders in schools today: the creators, the maintainers, and the destroyersThe creators who lead our schools are those who set the tone, climate, and pace for the attainment of excellence. They are also the ones who instill and generate the professional attitudes and promote a positive approach to teaching and accomplishing all the works of the school. First and foremost, those who are creators accept their position as the leaders of the school. They understand that leading is total function. They make decisions out of strength rather than weakness. They never lose sight of the fact that a fundamental value in a school is a well being of students. Every leadership action and decision must support this fundamental value.

We pray that we may be filled with the knowledge of Gods will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to lead a life worthy to the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May we be strengthened with all power,

according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
