On Announcement of Telangana Delhi Committee of CPI(ML) New Democracy welcomes the announcement of the CWC that move will be made within next few months to form Telangana with Hyderabad and Hyderabad as joint capital for next ten years. The decision is long overdue, and has been forced on Congress Party also because of the irrefutably genuine basis of the demand for Telangana, the proofs of deliberate violation of the First State Reorganization Commission of Faial Ali be Nehru Govt. and all central Govt thereafter bed they of Congress, NDA, UPA-I or UPAII. But all equally, it is the sustained and powerful struggle of the people of Telangana, the heroic but heart rendering sacrifices of its youth and studentsboth before police bullets in 1969, and in terrible suicides- and breadth of struggles sustained by conviction in their demand, which has forced the hand of the Congress. Congress expects electoral defeat in Seemandrha areas at the hands of Jagan and TDP and this is its attempt to win electoral seats in Telangana region and save its face. While the CWC announcement avoids the Congress fated pit of Rayl Telangana of Hyderabad as Union Territory, all supporters of Telangana as well as people of Telangana must not relax either vigilance or pressure to ensure that the Bill for creation of Telangana as separate state with Hyderabad as its part, is placed in parliament. Hyderabad may continue as joint capital for a period to give Seemandhra time to develop its own. However, the Congress is not above still playing with these historically correct terms to pit various sections of people against each other. All people of the up to now Andhra Pradesh now know Telangana is a justified and genuine demand of whole people of Telangana and accept the same. We call on them to desist from being exploited by vested interest into opposing the new state. Ruling class parties and Governments of both the two new states, which will be born, must act with maturity to ensure that genuine concerns of people of Seemandhra are addressed appropriately. The people of Telangana wish to live with the people of Seemandhra as Telugu brothers and not in hostility, and should ensure that the Govt. Which rules in their name reflects this spirit CPI (ML) New Democracy has been part of the struggle led by T-JAC for a separate Telangana State with Hyderabad as its capital and part. We congratulate the people of Telangana for our successful struggle and call the vigilance yet.
