SUMMER SCHEDULE

Summer's over and we're nearly into winter. After 15,000 miles oftravel and wonderful fellowship across the country, we're now back in Oklahoma. Visits to many churches and three camps, as well as brief visits with our son Danielat Artesia Christian College in New Mexico, with our daughter Tammy at Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri, with Jean's mother in Missouri and Ed's mother in Florida, all kept our summer schedule
filled to its maxium.

OUR DECISION

As we travelled this summer people kept asking whether we had dicided yet about returning to the field.
Somehow we have miscommunicated our problem. We have never slackened in our intention to stay in missionary service. Our only problem is lack of financial support. The date for returning to Australia was set as the end of January 1979 prior to leaving Australia and that still remains the taret date for our return. However as that date draws nearer, we are becoming increasingly concerned over the slow response to our

appeals for support. {In spite of gains there have also been losses so that our present level of support is no
more than 25% of the total need.).

With this in mind we have been asking the Lord whether this door in Australia is still open to us. (We still want to return for at least one more term if it be God's will). We believe that if God closes one door however,

that he opens another. With this in mind, we are still working towards the January date. If, by then, we still do not have sufficient support to return to Australia, we will walk through whichever door the Lord opens.
At the present time there are several mission opportunities available to us both here in the USA and abroad. For the most part, these are places where we have either received an invitation or where an interest has been expressed in the type of ministry we have to offer with the use of Aircraft in reaching people in remote areas. However the key problem still is that wherever we go support will be needed. Please pray about this ministry to the isolated people of the world who do not have access to Christian fellowship and help us to reach them with your missionary dollars.

In the meantime Jean is working part time to supplement the family's income and we are working on short

term mission projects while continuing to raise support for our over-all mission work. Our current short term
effort involves some building work for CAPSTAN, some necessary educational efforts, and other similar

projects. Depending upon the outcome of our support raising efforts other short term mission projects both

here and abroad are being considered.

Your prayers and continued support are essential to the success of our efforts for Christ. We thank you for
them.

EXCITING NEWS

Tammy phoned us the other day telling us of her decision to dedicate her life to missionary service. As a freshman in Bible College, she has a long way to go yet, butwe ask your prayers on her behalf as she seeks
God's direction in the matter over the next few years.
FORWARDING AGENTS RESIGNED

We regret to announce that our faithful forwarding agents, Frank and Alice Otero have found it necessary to resign. They have said, in part, that "it is probably a good thing that you get another agent. Maybe they will have more time, because being a forwarding agent does take time, with our different involvements it was becoming harder and harder to make time to do an adequate job. May the Lord continue to bless your efforts
as you serve Him. In Christ Frank."

We want to thank them for a difficult job well done. We could not have managed at all overseas without their help and know that you will want to join us in praying that their continuing ministry at Ozar^ P-'ble College will be as fruitful as it has been in the past.
Please note that until further notice all mail and contributions should be directed to our Oklahoma address

below. Thank you.

We covet your prayers,

Ed & Jean Kelsey, Missionaries
