transtec 7600 LTO Ultrium

Highest Performance from the Market Leader Linear Tape Open (LTO) Ultrium Technology is an open standard for tape drives developed by HP, IBM and Certance. LTO Ultrium has quickly penetrated the market and is today the market leader in the 100 GB capacity and above sector. With its up to 400 GB compressed capacity and max. 216 GB/hr. transfer rate, the transtec 7600 top model with LTO-2 drive is suited for demanding, time-critical backup tasks in the network. Furthermore, transtec offers LTO-1 models in full and half height with 200 GB compressed capacity. The compact design of the entry-level half height LTO-1 drive needs only a 5.25 slot, lending it to integration in rack server systems. Intelligent Technology By means of a special data rate matching (DRM) process, transtec 7600 tape drives also operate on

slower hosts with an optimal transfer rate without the notorious shoe-shining effect. The DRM technology enhances the reliability and prolongs the service life of the drive by reducing wear and media abrasion. The One-Button Disaster Recovery (OBDR) function additionally provides you with a smart system restore method (bare metal recovery). In the event of total server failure, you boot directly from the backup medium and thus start the automatic system and data recovery.

The media also display long durability with up to a million cycles. The drive automatically detects when a tape needs to be changed. Even if a tape is damaged, LTO technology can guarantee data recovery for a damage rate of up to 12.5 percent. The product attributes are complemented by many further intelligent features - such as internal cleaning heads or a cartridge memory for faster data access.

Business Service: 3-year express exchange service from date of delivery. In case of failure, an exchange part or a loaner is dispatched immediately and the faulty

Optional Premium Service: upgrade to 3-year on-site warranty from date of delivery. Covers the exchange or repair of the faulty components with integrated
e-mail and telephone support. Response time within eight working hours from Monday to Friday (business days) between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
