PoG Leadership Team Meeting 7/31/13

The following are notes from tonights meeting:

We reviewed and fine-tuned the proposed mission statement: We are called to express God's love revealed through Jesus Christ by - Listening, embracing and responding to the needs of our community and world; - Stretching and strengthening caring relationships and inspired teachings that span the generations in our congregation; - Nurturing a transformative culture of reflection, encouragement, honesty, openness and inclusivity; - Caring for God's creation through education and conservation.

and came up with the following recommendation with the question of whether to include caring relationship from above. We welcome anyones additional input or changes:

We are called to express Gods love revealed through Jesus Christ by: Listening and responding to the needs of our entire community and world through inspired teachings that span the generations in our congregation; Caring for Gods creation through a transformative culture of reflection, encouragement, education and conservation.
