SLLER
The largest town in this area, characterised by the excellent bustling market that takes place stretching through Placa Constitucio every Saturday. After spending a morning in the market, it is well worth riding the 3km on the famous Orange Tram from the main square to Port Soller. Here you will find sandy beaches, and water front bars and restaurants making this a very popular family attraction. Palma is within easy reach either by rail (built back in 1911 on the profits from the orange and lemon trade), bus or car through the more recently constructed tunnel.
FORNALUTX
Tucked away amongst the olive, orange and lemon cultivations of the Soller valley can be found the pretty village of Fornalutx; twice awarded the accolade of most beautiful village in Spain. Not to be missed on a visit to this part of the island. People-watching in the central Placa dEspanya comes highly recommended, as is a leisurely stroll through the picturesque alleys and streets, with the Tramuntana mountain range as a stunning imposing backdrop.
