Subhash Chauhan I am going to assume you want o transmit more than 10MW on this line. You need to run load flow with the existing parameters of this line. Then you can analyze what option to choose like, Regulators, Shunt Capacitors or conductor size. You want to use the option best suits your pocket. 11 hours ago Unlike Like
NasserUnfollow Follow Nasser Nasser Elsayed after you run load fiow according to line parameters which are knowen then you can choose the suitable conductor size and shunt capacitors the more length of line increase the more conductor size uses 11 hours ago Unlike Like

ArnieUnfollow Follow Arnie Arnie De Guzman Aleksi, 14km doesn't seem to be much to have a voltage drop out of limit, if in case you just want to mitigate the voltage drop at the end line, you might want to check the neutral grounding of your transformers at the load side, you might be having a hanging neutral reference due to loss soil or dry soil where the rods are erected. But if your intension is mainly just to add power to the line, make sure that the following are checked: 1. The switchgear is suitable for such expansion meaning, current capacity, fault level withstand, voltage and breakers are all suitable for the upgrade. 2. For the line, if it is designed for 6kV application, you cannot just easily make the voltage level higher as the distance per phase of each line is to be checked. 3. Creepage distance for the rest of the line if OHL to be checked for upto what level. 4. Important to check the line current carrying capacity if suitable for the upgrade. 5. Most of over head line is overdesigned for future expansion but still worth checking the specs. 6. Feeder protection and breaker needs to be checked. 7. Depending of the location where you will put your new plant, check the step and touch potential (if an there is existing ground grid). 8. Mainly more important is that if you have sufficient load for upgrade, or you can just get generators with small capacity like 1250kVA so that you can manage the supply based on the load. 9. Transformers are suitable for upgrade. 2 hours ago Unlike Like
Aleksi Ubilava thanks fellows fow answers, really useful for me. according russian regulations we can't lose more than 10% of voltage in the end of line, but following our calculation we lose 20 % on line for phase conductor 120 square mm ( this wire is maximum size for our conductors for overhead lines). i will offer to customer an idea to install shunt capasitor or voltage stabilizer or compensators. ima read some information about it. Arnie, we have not infrastructure absolutely, project is just starting, and still have not nothing, just requirment from customer to utilize APG in gas-turbine generating sets (4x2500 kW 6,3 kV) and to transmite electricity for selling by overhead line without stepping up the voltage. Anyway thanks for step-by-step information, really great manual for maintenance. 49 minutes ag
