A. Give a specific subject where you find each of the philosophical concepts of the philosophers you just learned most applicable. Explain the relevance of the concept to the subject you mentioned. 1. Benjamin Franklins Educational Philosophy The subject that is applicable to this philosophy is Ethics, because it teaches what morally good and wrong acts of a person are. This philosophy instill a sense of pride and respect for self, others and country. It also teach us different values that one person should possess such as, temperance, being silent when needed, be industrious, have an order in life, be sincere, tranquil, clean, be moderate and others. We should work on this for at least one in a week. In the subject Ethics, it molds the minds of students how to act morally and what is pleasing to God. 2. The Educational Theory of Thomas Jefferson The subject that is most applicable in this theory is HISTORY. Thomas Jefferson believes that we can acquire skulls though an in-depth analysis or study of classical literature, languages and history of past societies and empires. Through reading history, we can have knowledge of the past, a better understanding in present and it would be a means of predicting the future. History was equivalent to concrete experiences of ones time. We cannot bring back time to witness some historical events, but because of reading History books, it can help us express our imaginations and ideas. We can learn lots of things through reading history books because it molds our minds to what happened before; we can get ideas and learn from their decisions. 3. The Philosophy of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi For me, Music, Art and Physical Education (MAPEH) is the most applicable subject to this philosophy, because it helps students to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual being. This theory helps improve education by contributing different principles, like teachers must never teach by pure words when a child can hear, see and touch an object for himself, and children must observe, learn to express his impressions. In the subject MAPEH, students are engaged with different activities that can develop their skills. Letting students have a direct experience can give 90% of remembering their lessons according to studies. Engaging students with different activities can help them find and improve their skill and at the same time, they are enjoying the activities they are doing.

B. Which of the foregoing philosophical views do you like most? Why? Has the view helped in solving any of your problems? Why? Lately, Ive been thinking why I am so slack in doing my academic activity in school and I am always worrying if I can finish my works effectively and efficiently. I am also evaluating myself with my co-students, thinking why there are so fast in working their works in school. When I read the Benjamin Franklins Educational Philosophy, I realized that I should possess the value of Industry in which I should lose no time, be always employed in something useful and I should cut off all unnecessary actions in my life. I realized I am always watching television making my academic works be less in my priority. Because of reading that value, I am trying my best to manage my time well and prioritize my works in school for I will be the one who will benefit from it.
