Hindi keyboard post

Guys, can someone suggest how to use a keyboard in Hindi for Windows XP and Windows Vista OS? Also, please suggest from where do I
procure the Hindi fonts and what is the procedure to install it.

About Hindi fonts, there are a lot available Use an onscreen Hindi keyboard. Try this out:
on the Internet, simply download them. http://www.bhashaindia.com/Developers/

Hindi keyboards like the English ones are also

available in the market. They are available with fonts on the keys.

To overclock or not to overclock? post Best Digital camera? post

My new system configuration is Intel Core 2 Duo E8500, ASUS
P5Q Series motherboard, Samsung 22 inch wide (2243NWX) LCD
monitor, Seagate 500 GB hard drive, Cooler Master CM 690 case,
Coolermaster Extreme Power 600W SMPS, Corsair dual channel
4 GB RAM, APC BACK-UPS ES 650VA 230V, XFX 8800GTS 512 MB
(G92) Alpha Dog Edition, and Vista Home Premium. It is a pretty
powerful configuration. I am not a die hard gamer. I just play some
casual games and use Maya, Flash and Dreamweaver. Should I
consider overclocking? Will I need extra cooling devices? Also, will I
require any upgrades to perform overclocking?

If you are satisfied with the default clock then
why overclock? Overclocking takes up additional
electricity and if you don’t use that power, it is wasted.
Besides, overclocking with stock heat sink is a big no-no. When
you feel you need more, you can go ahead and overclock.

Hi Everyone,
I want to buy a digital camera. But I’m confused which one
to buy. I am looking for a camera of around 12 Megapixel and
a good memory support, preferably a Nikon or Canon. Sony
would be my third option. Could you guys please suggest a
good camera? My budget is around Rs 22,000. Thanks.

For Sony, check out the DSC-H50/B
(10 Megapixel). In Canon I suppose the A650IS
should do great (12 Megapixel). Also the S5
(8 Megapixel) would be good. But I’ve heard that Canon
cameras have a little above average noise at higher ISO
using high resolution at the same time. So better check
if you indeed need a 12 Megapixel because even an 8
Megapixel can give you equally great results. Sony has low
comparable noise output, but they sometime fall short of a
couple of features. Even the S3 (8 Megapixel) is good. All
cameras mentioned here range between Rs 15,000 - 20,000.

It is always unsafe when you overclock as the product life
Nikon Coolpix P5100 fits your requirement,
gets affected. Also, if there is any damage to the components,
it’s within your budget and is a 12 Megapixel

I want to buy a laptop that can be used for gaming with a 250 GB hard
drive, 2 GB Dual-Channel RAM, Wi-Fi, 14-15 inch monitor, battery use
up to 3 to 5 hours, and price between a range of Rs 25,000 to 40,000.

so you will only be able to do light gaming.

Photoshop or CorelDRAW? post
Which one is better Photoshop or CorelDRAW? I don’t
know anything about CorelDRAW, I am planning to learn
it as I am bored of using the same software and want to
try something cooler. So, should I just stick to Photoshop
or move on to CorelDRAW as well?

CorelDRAW is better for drawing and Photoshop is
basically for editing. One more thing worth mentioning
is the ImageReady that comes with Photoshop. It has
some really cool features to draw and make logos. CorelDRAW
has a unique feature for drawing 3D figures. I used to do that
with an older version. Don’t know about the current version.

CorelDRAW is a package of Raster & Vector creation
and editing software. CorelDRAW is extensively used
for print related work [CMYK] rather than photo editing
say for brochures and stuff. But the recent versions are equally good
in Photo manipulation too. So CorelDRAW generally is Photoshop
+ Image ready + Illustrator as a package. Photoshop, I’d call it the
creation software. Depends on what task you use it for like creation,
editing, color correction, websites etc. Comparing these two is
not correct, you should compare between Corel suite and Adobe
Creative suite. As a beginner, Photoshop and Illustrator is easier
to learn and Photoshop has the edge when it comes to support for
massive collections of plug-ins, brushes, shapes, patterns etc.

Ubuntu with Windows post
Hi Guys,
I have connected two desktop computers via Ethernet cable
using an ADSL router. On one PC I have Linux (Ubuntu 8.04
Hardy Heron) and the other has Windows XP SP3. I need
to know how to setup the LAN in Ubuntu to recognize the
Windows XP PC. Also, please tell me from where can I
view all the contents of the Windows XP PC on the Ubuntu
machine. As I am a novice in Ubuntu, I’d be grateful for a
detailed elaboration.

Set up a LAN, share the folders, and reply
then in Nautilus (Gnome file manager), type
smb://<ip-address-of-your-windows-machines>
