Hi friends,
Over the past one month the speed of my Sony DRU DVD writer has slowed
down. Earlier it took 2 minutes to copy a CD and 5 minutes for a DVD. But now To enable DMA reply
it takes 5 to 6 minutes for a CD and 15 to 20 minutes for a DVD. It takes an hour Right click ‘My Computer’. Select
to write a DVD at 8X, even the CHIP DVD takes 30 seconds to start. I found the ‘Properties | Hardware | Device Manager
reason for this in the Primary IDE channel properties. It shows that the DVD | IDE / ATAPI Controllers ‘. Double
writer operates in the PIO mode and not the DMA mode. I don’t know how to click secondary or primary channel,
revert it to the DMA mode. This problem occurred earlier, but since it was under according to where your DVD Drive is connected
warranty, I managed to get a replacement. Guys, does anyone have a solution? Select ‘Advanced Settings | Select Transfer Mode
Please Help! as DMA’ (if available) . Restart your computer.
