Installed Power Capacity (as on April 30, 2012) 22,091.78 MW. Generation 78,424.8 Million Kwh in 2011-12. Per capita consumption of electricity 1512 units (2010-11). 100% of Gujarat's villages have electricity connection for 24hr power through the Jyotirgram Yojana.

Port

Physical Infrastructure (2/3)

1,600 Km coastline - 21.05% of India. 1 Major port at Kandla Port and 41 minor ports.

Kandla handled 818.80 lakh tonnes and minor ports handled 2309.07 million lakh tonnes in 2010-11.

Telecommunication
Cellular subscribers (as on March 2012) 50,321.89 (000 nos). Total Subscribers (as on March 2012) 108,474.67 (000 nos)

Gas
Only state to have an Integrated State- Wide Gas Grid, network of over 2,200 Km. Only state in the country to have two LNG import terminals

Physical Infrastructure (3/3)


96.49% of the total roads in the state are surfaced. The Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) commercial operation was started on 15th October, 2009.. Awards:

Manufacturing and electricity sectors accounted for about 62.2 % of states total outstanding investment. A substantial proportion of investments were concentrated in the power sector, holding a 38 % share at Rs. 56,69,421.4 million. It was followed by manufacturing and services sector with a 24.2% and 16.4% share in investments respectively.
