After high school, she attended Cincinnati Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati as a ballet major for one year. She then left and danced professionally with Omaha Theater Ballet , Albano Ballet, and Atlanta Festival Ballet. In between dancing for various companies, she lived in New York City, working in the marketing department of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and training with various teachers throughout the city at Ailey, Broadway Dance Center, Steps, etc. Most recently, she has performed with Wilmington Ballet Company and Carolina Ballet and has been on faculty at the Wilmington School of Ballet. She has also trained in IM=X Pilates. Elizabeth recently was offered a contract to perform with Birmingham Ballet for their 2012-2013 season. She is currently performing with Birmingham Ballet but continues to appear as a guest performer and teacher with the Wilmington Ballet Company and the Wilmington School of Ballet. (Cavalier) interest in ballet was sparked, at the age of 10, while performing as a soldier in The Nutcracker with The Sarasota Ballet. He received his dance training at both The Dance Center in Brandon and The Sarasota Ballet School. As a member of Florida West Ballet, Christopher received additional training with Javier & Isabel Dubrocq, Alexi Dovgopolyi, Sasha Yapparov, and Sarasota Ballet Master Pavel Fomin and his wife Lydia Fomina. At 14, Christopher was accepted at the Harid Conservatory Summer Program on full scholarship. Adrian Ciobanu, Chris and his partner Jenny Kuo performed many wonderful pas de deux including Peasant Pas from Giselle, Sleeping Beautys Bluebird Pas de Deux, Paquita,La Sylphide, as well as Snow and SugarPlum Pas de Deux from The Nutcracker. Christopher also spent three years as Mr. Ciobanus assistant teaching partnering classes at The Dance Center. He had the opportunity to perform with the corps de ballet in Robert DeWarrens Ca DZan, Madame Butterfly, and Camille. He was also asked to perform in Alberto Alonzos Carmen both in Sarasota and by special request in Fort Myers and Gainesville, Florida. He received a professional Corps de Ballet contract with Sarasota Ballet after the 2003 -2004 season. For the last year Chris has been teaching at Theatre Arts and Dance Alliance in Lithia Fl., also performing in their productions of The Nutcracker and Don Quixote. ?FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS?

Can My Child Make-Up Classes?
Here at the WSB we do allow our families to make-up missed classes. We understand that illness, school trips etc. happen from time to time in all families. For Levels Pre-K-Level 3/4 our students can make up in any other class at their level that they are not currently enrolled. For Levels 5/6 & up it is a little more difcult but students can make-up in the Saturday classes if they are not already enrolled or they can take any class at or below their level that they are not currently enrolled. We ask that our families do the following when making up a class: Please call the ofce ahead of time to ensure that there is room in the class in which you wish to make-up. This is particularly important in the lower levels as we do try very hard to keep a low teacher/student ratio. Upon arrival let the ofce know that your child is there for a make-up class. Please take a minute to inform the instructor that your child is making up in their class. Children who are making up are marked differently in our roles. This information is vital for our ofce to be able to keep up with correct class rosters. We are glad to be able to offer this policy to our families and students. Whenever possible we ask families to try and make-up classes within the same semester as the absence. Make-ups can not be carried over to different sessions i.e. spring to summer or summer to fall. Thank you for your cooperation.

Life Lessons In Dance

Teamwork
Most people probably think of ballet as a solo endeavor. While this is somewhat true in a classroom setting, the end result of creating a ballet is all about teamwork. No one person ever created an entire ballet by themselves. It takes the director, choreographers, dancers, teachers, musicians, technical director, lighting designer, costumer and stage crew( just to name a few) to put a ballet up on the stage. No one person is more important than the other and everyone has to do their very best in order for the production to be a success. The production will always be only as strong as the weakest member of the team. Here at the WSB we strongly encourage our students to participate each year in at least one production. Learning how to dance as a member of a production is an important part of their dance education that can not be fully taught in the context of class. Learning to be a part of something bigger than themselves is an important lesson in life.

I hope all of our families will come out to our many wonderful performance opportunities and support our dancers either as a member of the cast or as an audience member. And yes, the audience is an Just before serving: Toss bulgar together with tomatoes, cucumber, onions, parsley & mint. Serve chilled or at room important team player as well. Without them there would be no reason to perform! See you at temperature spooned on to spinach and lettuce leaves. Nutcracker!
