ABSTRACT
This project has been carried out to design and fabricate a small scale wind tunnel which can be used for laboratory for demonstration purpose. This project carried out by learning each part of the wind tunnel and also finding the various criterias of parts of the wind tunnel. Latest wind tunnel has been chosen. The type of the wind tunnel that wants to built is open circuit type wind tunnel designing i.e. without recycling the smoke. Aerodynamicists use wind tunnels to test different models of proposed airfoil, cars, objects (e.g. Aero plane, Helicopter). In the tunnel, the engineer can carefully control the flow conditions which affects forces acted on the aerofoil. By making careful measurement of the forces on the model, the engineer can predict the forces on the full scale model and also predict proposed shape of testing object. Also by using special diagnostic techniques, the engineer can better understand and improve the performance of the proposed machine or engineering shape.
