States for home assignment. We are excited to announce that our family will be on assignment in the U.S. from October 8thJanuary 21st of this year. We will be posting a more detailed schedule online on our facebook group, and through email as the time gets closer. Currently, our plan is to be in the Bay Area for most of the trip and be in the LA area from November 3rd-12th. We would love to meet and share about Cambodia with your Bible study or church. If you or your church are interested, please contact us at nateandchristiana@actioncambodia.org

assignment (traditionally called furlough) has a multifaceted purpose for us: 1. Rest and Renewal Living in a foreign culture is usually accompanied by certain stresses that never fully go away. Returning to ones home culture can be a helpful break for missionaries, bringing needed renewal and perspective, enabling us to be refreshed, and ready to serve again.

Sometimes people wonder why missionaries go on home assignment. Home-

Support Status:
Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us as we serve the Lord in Cambodia? It is through the gracious gifts of Gods people that we are enabled to minister. No gift is too small! Thank you!

We are excited to see many of you during this upcoming home assignment, to
catch up, and to rejoice in what the Lord is doing in all of our lives. Because He lives,

2. Reconnecting with Family and Friends Probably the hardest aspect of being on the mission field is being away from family and friends. Home assignment is a wonderful time to make memories with loved ones, to treasure when miles separate us. 3. Reporting to Churches and Supporters While writing newsletters and emails is a great way to communicate, meeting face-to-face is an essential part of sharing in the ministry together, for mutual encouragement and joy. 4. Raising Awareness and Support We are passionate about many projects and ministries in Cambodia, and we want to spread that passion, seeking to partner together in bringing the Gospel to Cambodia and beyond! Raising finances is also a necessary part of our ministryfor various projects as well as personal support for our family. While on home-assignment we seek to widen our support base to further the ministry that we have in Cambodia. 5. Recruitment We want to see more people raised up to serve the Lord in overseas missions, and specifically in Cambodia. So, part of our goal on home-assignment is to meet with possible recruits, to encourage them in their passion for missions, and to be used as a catalyst to bring more workers into the vast harvest.
