The airline approached us in 2008 for a solution which would enable them to access the global pilot workforce and set-up expatriate pilot communities at their designed operational bases. Our client maintains a highly effective assessment and interview process, into which we provided a constant flow of suitable, scrutinised candidates, ensuing that only the very best pilots are assessed. We enjoyed circa 80% success-rate at interview and our client authorised us to employ the pilots on our own international payroll. This provided our client a more flexible way of hiring ready-trained pilots who can be brought-in for long or short durations, depending on the nature of each individual operation.

Behind the scenes

Our aim is to work efficiently and effectively in a way that will yield the best results for you. As well as managing search, selection and assessment, we can also assist with vacancy publication, media selection and negotiation of advertising rates, using either a clients brand or our own.
Our client is a major international flag carrier and One World partner. Their Heathrow crew-base employs over 400 flight attendants but was previously limited in its ability to deliver a premium-standard recruitment process in the UKs highly competitive cabin crew market. Aeropro proposed an end-to-end RPO solution which would be conducted offsite, but using the airlines own name so as to capitalise on their brand appeal. We now manage their initial advertising, all applications made through their very own recruitment website, all initial pre-screening and telephone interviewing, their recruitment assessment days at Heathrow, pre-employment medicals, the completion of the BAA ID referencing and the issue and tracking of all pre-employment documentation. From our clients perspective, their delight with our service has resulted in a 5 year renewal of our contract.

Finding a needle in a haystack

Our experienced and dedicated consultants search a wide range of internal and external sources to identify potentially suitable individuals. We are able to network at the highest level to ensure that any candidate we find comes with the highest possible recommendations. We then conduct our own in-depth interview and referencing before presenting them to you.
We were approached by the HR Director of a rapidly expanding Middle-East carrier to fill a Sales Manager position, reporting directly to the main board and taking full responsibility for implementing the airlines sales strategy. As a relatively new business with aspirations to compete on a global stage, they were specifically seeking someone with a flag-carrier background and proven experience of expanding sales into new geographical territories. Within a week we flew a shortlist of 3 candidates to the Middle East for interview. The flight was conducted without a hitch, resulting in the successful release of the aircraft by our client.
