Gregg Silberg, D.O., R.Ph., F.A.C.O.I., F.A.O.C.R.

Executive Director and Treasurer Professor of Medicine and Radiology Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (WAOPS)
Gregg Silberg, D.O., R.Ph. serves as the Executive Director and Treasurer of the Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (WAOPS). Dr. Silberg received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University Of Health Sciences College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri (now KCUMB) in 1987. He graduated from Drake University in 1983 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. Dr. Silberg completed a rotating internship at Detroit Osteopathic/BiCounty Community hospitals in 1988. He then completed a primary care Internal Medicine residency at Detroit Osteopathic/BiCounty Community hospitals in 1991. Dr. Silberg went back and completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Michigan Health Care Corporation in 1996. He was a member of the American Osteopathic Associations Health Policy Fellowship class of 2010-11. He is a licensed Pharmacist, and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Silberg is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American Osteopathic College of Radiology. Dr. Silberg is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (WAOPS). He is a Delegate to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)s House of Representatives (HOD) for WAOPS. Dr. Silberg is a member of the AOA HODs Educational Affairs Reference committee. He is a Consultant on the AOAs Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education Development Initiative. Dr. Silberg has chaired and been a member of numerous councils and committees for the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic College of Radiology, American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM). He has been actively involved in the Licensing and Certification processes with the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME), the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR), and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). Dr. Silberg is a board member of the AOBR and past Chair of the Cardiopulmonary examining section. Dr. Silberg has been the Radiology advisor to the AOBIM. He was an author of the NBOMEs Fundamental Osteopathic Medical Competency Domain document and the AACOMs Osteopathic Core Competency Document. Dr. Silberg won 1st place in the AACOM/American Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators 2008 annual meeting poster session for The New Innovative Method of Pre-Doctoral Education at A.T. Still Universitys School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa Arizona. Dr. Silberg was the Chairman and Program Director of Internal Medicine at Michigan Health Care Corporation from 1991-1993. He was the Associate Medical Director at Michigan Health Care Corporation from 1993-1996. Dr. Silberg served honorably on active duty in the United States Air Force from 1997-2006. During his exemplary military career he served as a Squadron Commander, Chief of Medical Staff and Director of Medical Education. Then Dr. Silberg joined the development team that started and was the Founding Director of Clinical Education at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona from 2006-2008. He was the Associate Dean of Clinical Education at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California and was the OPTI Director of the Touro Medical Education Consortium during 2009. Dr. Silberg started a Medical Education Consulting firm in January 2010. He has consulted on multiple undergraduate and graduate medical education developments including working with the Alabama Medical Education Consortium on the development of the new Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Veterans Health Affairs on the VHAs Primary Care Graduate Medical Education Initiative and WCOM. Dr. Silberg was the Executive Vice President and Founding Dean, and then the President and CEO of the Wisconsin College of Osteopathic Medicine (WCOM) from March 2011 through May 2013. He was selected to be Interim

Executive Director of Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (WAOPS) on December 1, 2012 and was appointed to the position full time by the Board of Directors on May 31, 2013. During his time as the Executive Director he has lead the reorganization of the state association.
