College Ruled Paper: loose-leaf 3. Textbook located on bookshelf in back of my room your copy stays at home! 4. Pencils only (no pens on anything turned into me) 5. Colored (not black) pen or pencil for corrections. Grading: You will earn your nine weeks grade using the following percentages: Tests Quizzes / Projects Homework Daily Grades Assignment Logs 45% 25% 15% 10% 5%

Specifics: 1. Warm-Up: As soon as you enter the classroom, you should immediately begin work on the Warm-Up that will be posted on the board. This is also the time that you should take out your homework to check. Warm-Ups will be collected periodically and count toward your Daily Grade. 2. Homework: You should expect to have math homework most nights (Monday-Thursday) and it will be checked for completion. All work must be neatly shown to receive credit. Each nine weeks youll start with 100 points for your homework grade. Each zero counts as 5 points, each incomplete assignment counts as 2.5 points. Late homework will not be accepted. Every problem must be attempted to receive full credit. 3. Chapter Assignment Logs must be turned in before taking each chapter test. All assignments must be labeled, completed, and corrected. Incorrect problems must be corrected with your colored pen. Stay organized and remember to correct that homework. 4. Projects will be assigned periodically. 5. All notes must be dated and must include the section number and section title. 6. ALL homework must be dated and include page numbers and problem numbers as shown below: Name Date assigned Assignment # Page and problem numbers 7. All assignments will be due at the beginning of the period. 8. Test Corrections will be due for every test. They must be signed by your parent.

Behavior: I expect you to be in your seat, in dress code, working on the Warm-Up, homework ready to be checked, and with all materials on hand when the bell rings. Dont expect to be able to leave the classroom to get supplies or assignments from your locker! I also expect you to act responsibly, to be respectful of each other and me, and to follow the Honor Code. There will be consequences (rewards or referrals) for behavior. Absences: Assignments will be written on the board daily and posted on the Google Calendar. If you have a planned absence, Ill be glad to let you know what work youll be missing before you leave. The work will be due the day you return. If your absence is not planned (illness, etc.), please check the Google Calendar or call a trustworthy classmate for any assignments. Work not shown to me within one day for each day absent will not be accepted. This is your responsibility. I didnt know is not an excuse. I will not ask for missing work. Check with me before or after class if you are unsure about missed work. If you miss school the day before the test, you are still expected to take the test the day you return to school. Any quizzes or tests missed due to an absence will need to be taken the day you return. See the Handbook for rules on Attendance Policy and make-up work. Extra Help: Extra Help is available upon request during Office Hours (3:10-3:40) Monday-Thursday afternoons. It is helpful for you to have specific questions or topics that you would like for me to help you with. Because I know you have worked hard to prepare for tests and quizzes, I will return them as soon as possible. I will strive to make this a successful year of learning!
