What a privilege it was to baptize Bradley
Elkins. I was telling his mother (Allyson) and
his grandmother (Alyce) on Sunday how moved
I was to be a part of his baptism. One of the
reasons I felt that way was because of the
legacy of faith that has been passed down to
Bradley. Somewhere in Heaven, I’m certain
(great-grandparents) Arvard and Anna Bell are
smiling!
OUR TARGET DATE FOR TURNING IN
PLEDGE COMMITMENT FORMS IS
SUNDAY JUNE 7. Revitalization for our
Sanctuary is getting closer as our ministry
committees are working on the details of
PHASE ONE of the FBC REVITALIZATION
PLAN. We will be brightening our Sanctuary
with paint and new lighting, renovating our
platform area, and overhauling our sound
system to significantly enhance our worship
space. From the beginning of 2009, we have
been working on this plan and with the
blessings of pertinent ministry committees, our
Deacons, staff, and ultimately the congregation
its now time to put our commitment to
revitalizing in pledge form. You should have
received a letter and Pledge Card from me and I
hope you will prayerfully consider an amount
above your regular contribution. We have extra
cards here at the church office if you misplaced
yours. The card has a couple of options of what
one can pledge ‘per-week’ or ‘per-month’—if
you need to add a different option, like ‘one-
time gift’ or ‘per-quarter’ feel free to do so. It is
extremely important for the future of the
Revitalization Plan to get these pledges in and
for us as a collective body to pledge our best.
