in Paris, a symbol of synchronization of humble glass modern architecture with a strong classical foreground. Empire State Building, a 102-story skyscraper located in Midtown Manhattan, stood as the worlds tallest tower for 40 years, from its completion in 1931; the Petronas Twin Towers, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the tallest twin buildings in the world. The multivenue performing arts arena, conceived as a colossal sculpture, in Sydney, Opera house forms the best expressionist architecture along with being the busiest performing arts centres in the world, hosting over 1,500 performances each year. Burj Al Arab, the magnificent luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian vessel. These buildings had become an iconic or symbolic statement for their respective country; very similar to Sydney with its Opera House, London with Big Ben, or Paris with the Eiffel Tower. These architectural beauties are resultant of churning through many complexities Wherein the architect has to very stringently follow the design standards and building bye laws of the region. A thorough study of the real estate market and its economic development, along with strategic study of the demand and supply ratio. The need of the hour, combining ecology along with economy, the sustainability of the structure, and making it eco-friendly the best example of this is the edifice in which we stand today, the Orchid hotel forming the first five star ecofriendly hotel in Asia. The smart usage of building materials in the design with makes it durable and aesthetic marvel

The clientele demand, aspirations and beliefs, without failing to comply with the basic Indian science of architecture VASTUSHASTRA, the coordinal directions, and its suitability to the five elements. The technical aspects of the building designs which goes hand in hand with the designing and planning, i.e. building engineering which is done on the commands of the architects plan. The structural designing, which can be doubled for its support and frame-work, while using it as a design element, to bring in rhythm in building faade. Building services the heart of the building, which pumps in air and water & other essentials which keeps the structure habitable. While designing the construction practicality must be kept in mind along with its, method and stages/phases which can make it modular and bring in ease in assembling the structure. Designing for fire safety of the building and the dwellers with strategic planning of escape routes and usage of fire retardant materials. Important aspect of the design being its lighting, may it be daylight penetration or the night time artificial lighting, such that the dweller enjoys a visual comfort while using both the ambient and the task lighting. Many more direct and in-direct sources of complexities & geometrics in development of a beautiful edifice could be identified that are site or structure specific, and dealing with those must be architects passion. In order to sail through the ocean of complexities the architect must take inspiration from architectural wonders created in the past and must have an eye for the future challenges, namely rapid globalization, urbanization, the fast speed of life and last but not the least sustainable approach to architecture and its components.
