Course Description The course is designed to provide basic information about the environment, environmental laws and the current environmental issues being faced by the Philippines and the entire world. It provides knowledge on the different interventions that individuals and entire communities can take to deter destruction of the environment and make life sustainable. It aims to help develop among the students a sense of stewardship to the environment and a strong commitment to helping implement environmental laws. Through the different class activities, it is expected that the students would be able to hone the skills they need in their chosen fields. Pre-requisite/s: NONE Co-requisite/s: NONE

FINAL EXAMINATION II. GRADING SYSTEM: (Article IX. Section 8 of 2010 ed. UB student handbook) The cumulative computation of grades during the second and final grading periods still applies: 1/3 of the previous grade plus 2/3 of the tentative grade. All failing grades in the final grading period are converted to 70. Highest Possible Score (HPS) refers to the sum total points of all quizzes, unit tests, assignments and/ or projects, and periodical examinations given or administered within the grading period. Students Actual Total Score (SATS) refers to the total score obtained by the student in the given quizzes, unit tests, assignments and/ or projects, and periodical examinations. Lowest Possible Score (LPS) refers to the cut off score as indicated below. Cut-off Score. The cut-off point which determines the lowest passing score.
