org Kyabje Kangyur Rinpoche s tagdrl yantra This yantra (mantra diagram) is a tagdr l (Tibetan word meaning liberation through wearing ). Tagdrls are known as 24290 Dordogne France | e:info@songts

one of the "six liberations", which include hearing (thdrl), seeing (tongdrl), remembering (drendrl), touching (regdrl), wearing (tagdrl) and tasting (nyongdrl). The symbols in this yantra represent the mantras of the

peaceful deities, vidyadharas, and wrathful deities. In order to help alleviate suffering during the bardo (intermediate state between death and rebirth), it is often placed on the deceased persons body

after death and either buried or burned with the body. Such precious mandala protections are often worn inside a gau (metal container / locket) or inside a pouch around the

neck or above the waist and are known to bestow great benefit and protection from obstacles. The yantra may be folded in order to place it inside a locket, so

the Tibetan letter in the very centre of both diagrams. How to fold the yantra: first fold

the square and circle yantras towards one another (so that both prints are touching). Then, with the square facing upright, imagine two vertical lines dividing the diagram in to three

equal parts or panels. Fold the right side (vertical panel making up one third of the total width) towards the centre, then fold the left side vertically over the right

panel ( avoid making a fold directly in the center of the syllable Hung ). Now, you should have one panel representing one third of the original width (with the other

two panels folded over top). Next, imagine two horizontal lines dividing the paper into 3 parts. Fold the bottom part up toward the center, then fold the top down toward

the center. The side of the yantra with a solid fold should be the top of the tagdrl (with the Hung right side up, as shown in the diagram to

the right). For blessing and protection of deceased persons The yantra should be printed out in a format where the letters are all clearly visible, and then, if possible, painted

with saffron water and dried. How to place the yantra: the yantra is placed on the body at the level of the heart. For discretion, the yantra may be placed

in an envelope. The writing is placed toward the body (facedown), and must avoid being placed upside down. For those who do not read Tibetan, the sword in the upper

right corner of the square image should be pointing up toward the
