Sinceimpedanceofacapacitorincreaseswith decreasingfrequency,couplingandbypasscapacitors reduceamplifiergainatlowfrequencies. Tochoosecapacitorvalues,shortcircuittimeconstant methodisused:eachcapacitorisconsidered separatelywithallothercapacitorsreplacedbyshort circuits. Toneglectacapacitor,themagnitudeofcapacitive impedancemustbemuchsmallerthantheequivalent resistanceappearingatitsterminals
