3) CARGA HORARIA: 4 horas semanales 4) OBJETIVOS DE LA ASIGNATURA:

A) Consolidar lo aprendido en Fontica y Fonologas I II y III, esto es la adquisicin de los sonidos y tonos propios del idioma Ingls, para lograr un mayor perfeccionamiento en la expresin oral de la lengua Inglesa haciendo hincapi tanto en la comprensin como en la produccin oral.

B) Analizar distintos tipos de discurso , lo cual permitir una interpretacin ms integrada de los mismos, teniendo en cuenta los diversos aspectos suprasegmentales y paralingusticos tpicos de cada caso.

C) Ofrecer mayor prctica para la comprensin auditiva de los acentos o lenguas ms representativos del Reino Unido a parte del General British : Northern and Southern accents, Cornish, Welsh, Scottish and Irish Y dems pases de habla Inglesa. 5) UNIDADES ACADMICAS: SET I VARIETY : Standard and Regional Accents (standards of pronunciation, the emergence of a standard, the present-day situation in RP or General British) THEORETICAL POINT :Discourse Analysis and Phonology (pronunciation, rhythm, word stress and prominence. Intonational units. Interactive approach) TYPE OF SPEECH : speeches. LISTENING: comprehension, note taking, fill in the blanks SET II VARIETY: Northern and Midland Accents THEORETICAL POINT : Spoken Discourse. The English used by Students and Teachers in the Classroom (the Birmingham Model) Words and Phrases (Binary verse) TYPE OF SPEECH : stories, rhymes and riddles.
