Events List
Literary Events:
1) JAM 2 Participants per team Top 8 participants will qualify for the finals 2) Crossword Individual Event Time Limit: 30 minutes Participants are expected to write their entries at the prescribed venue Maximum of 4 participants per class No Dictionaries or electronic gadgets allowed inside the event hall. 3) Sudoku Individual Event No calculators or printed material allowed inside the event hall Participants are required to bring their own stationary Time Limit: 1 hour (participants are judged also based on speed) 4) Pot Pouri (DC + 20Qs + Pictionary + Taboo) 2 teams per class, 3 members per team 5) Debate Topic will be given on August 20th 2013 (Please check all the Notice Boards @ 9:00am) Time allotted is 3+1 minute 1 team per class, consisting of 2 members 1 member will speak for the topic and the other against 6) Extempore Topic is to be picked 3 minutes before appearing on stage Time allotted is 2+1min 2 participants per class

 Individual event 7) Creative Writing 2 participants per class Topic will be given on the spot Time allotted is 1 hour 8) Poetry Writing 2 participants per class Topic will be given on the spot Time allotted is 1 hour 9) Air Crash 2 participants per class Each participant will be given a personality to enact and they will have to convince the Pilot (Judge) as to why they deserve the parachute and survive the air crash. Individual event Vulgarity of any sort will result in immediate disqualification 10)Quiz (MELA, Sports & leisure, Biz-Tech, General) 3 members per team 8 teams will qualify for the finals (MELA Music, Entertainment, Literature, Arts) 11)Personality Written Prelims will be conducted 4 Girls + 4 Boys will be shortlisted for the finals

Theatre
1) Street Play Topic will be given on the day of registration 5+2 minutes to perform One team per class 6+2 members per team Vulgarity of any sort will lead to immediate disqualification

2) Mock Rock 6 members per team Time allotted 5+1min Vulgarity will result in immediate disqualification Only mocking of existing songs are allowed 3) Ice Breaker Teams are expected to introduce their college in the most creative manner. Vulgarity of any sort will lead to immediate disqualification. Team should consist 6+2 members One team per class Soundtracks are not permitted Time limit: 4+2 minutes Music 1) Western Group Maximum of 6+2 members per team Time allotted is 10+1min Electric instruments are not allowed 2) Western Solo Individual event Vocal performance only Time allotted 2+1min Only 1 accompanist allowed No electric instruments allowed Keyboard may be played in Piano mode only 3) Indian Group Maximum of two teams per college Maximum of 6+2 members per team Time Limit: 6+2 min Any regional language allowed Electric instrument not allowed. 4) Indian Solo (Classical; Light Music) Individual event Time allotted 4+1min

Songs can only be of classical origin The RAGA and TAALA have to be mentioned Participants are allowed 1 accompanist playing an instrument Judging is based on vocal performance only

5) Instrumental Solo (Western/Indian) Time allotted 4+1 min Participants have to bring their own instruments 6) Western Electric Band 1 team per class Maximum of 6 members per team Time allotted is 10+2min 7) Beat Boxing

Dance
1) Indian Group 1 team per class Maximum 8 members per team Time allotted is 5+1min Theme Classical/Contemporary CDs should be handed over at the registration desk while reporting 2) Western Group 1 team per class Maximum 6+2 members per team Time allotted is 4+1min Any form of vulgarity will result in immediate disqualification CDs should be handed over at the registration desk while reporting 3) Mixed Solo Any form of dance is allowed Individual event Time allotted is 2+1min

Art
1) Painting Sketch pens are not allowed Time allotted is 1 hour No pasting (glue) Bring your own stationary Paper will be provided Topic will be given on the spot 2) Sketching Use of pencils only Topic will be given on the spot Bring your own stationary Paper will be provided No pasting (glue) Time allotted is 1 hours 3) Collage 3 members per team, 2 teams per class No cutting devices (Scissors, Blades, etc) K G cardboard will be provided Participants should bring their own materials Time allotted is 1 hour Sketch pens can be used Themes will be given on the spot 4) Rangoli 1 team per class -2 participants per team Time allotted is 1 hour Participants should bring their own material Only coloured powders are allowed Flowers or grains are not to be used Themes will be given on the spot 5) Junk Art

 Participants should bring their own material (like waste papers, plastic, clothes, bottles, fibres, etc.) Time limit is 1 hour 1 team per class -2 participants per team 6) Flower Arrangement Individual event 2 persons per class No materials will be provided Time limit -30 minutes 7) Photography Open event Topic will be given on the day

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please note that this year, we have introduced a new points system -in which the classes having maximum participation in events will get a head start in the overall points given to different classes based on the positions they place. The additional points are as follows (for either individuals/teams -depending on the event): For Off-stage events For being present and participating in 3-5 events: 50 points For being present and participating in 6-12 events: 100 points For being present and participating in 12-20 events: 150 points For being present and participating in more than 20 events: 250 points For Stage events For being present and participating in 3-5 events: 100 points For being present and participating in more than 5 events: 200 points Points for Winning: Off stage events: I Place -200 points II Place -150 points III Place -100 points Stage events: I Place -300 points II Place -250 points III Place -200 points

The class with the most points by the end of Pratibha will receive a Trophy! Mr. and Miss Pratibha (Winners of maximum number of events) will receive individual trophies.
