Grease or spray if necessary with VCI-369T grease or VCI-368 spray / 1YR. 03 SUBS, STABILIZERS, PUP JOINTS, FISHING TOOLS PRODUCT At two months intervals, visually inspect the stabilizers, pup joints and fishing tools for deterioration of protective coating. Clean the corroded areas and spray with VCI-368 / 2M. Remove at random some protectors and check threads and stabilizers internally for any corrosion. Grease or spray if necessary with VCI-369T grease or VCI-368 spray / 1YR. 07 - RADIATORS PRODUCT At two months check for any corrosion. If needed clean and spray with VCI-368. At six months check the coolant for antifreeze. 08 - AUTO DRILLERS PRODUCT At two months intervals check that the unit is properly stored and wrapped At six months remove partly plastic and check condition. Properly re-wrap unit in VCI-126 plastic. 09 - DYNAMIC / HYDROMATIC BRAKES PRODUCT At two months intervals check that all openings are still closed. 10 - DRAWWORKS PRODUCT At two months rotate drawworks several revolutions. Check that tape, plastic and coverings are still installed. Replace if necessary. Check that all exposed parts are still coated with grease, etc. At six months open covers and inspect for corrosion. Add new inhibitors and or emitters as necessary. 11 DRIVES PRODUCT At two months check that all openings/couplings/etc. are still covered. At six months open drives and transmission covers and check for any corrosion. If found clean and spray with appropriate VCI369T / 6M product. Seal all covers after checking. 12 ENGINES PRODUCT At two months check that all openings are still closed and properly sealed. At six months open engine crankcase inspection cover check internally. If corroded clean and spray or grease with the appropriate VCI product / M529 / 6M. 13 CARRIERS PRODUCT At two months check that all protecting covers, plastic, etc. is still in place. At six months open some covers to verify the internal condition. If corrosion is present clean and apply appropriate VCI product. 15 AIR HOIST / WINCHES PRODUCT At six months open some inspection covers to ensure that there is no corrosion internally. 16 MUD PUMPS PRODUCT At two months intervals, rotate pump two revolutions. Re-coat extension rods. Check that tape, plastic and coverings are still installed. Replace if necessary. At six months intervals inspect pump internal and renew inhibitor as necessary. Open crosshead side-covers and apply a new coat of grease at the slides. Inspect pump external and paint unpainted surfaces. Check that the pistons/piston rods/intermediate rods/clamps are still properly protected. Simple visual check by looking through transparent plastic wrap is usually sufficient. Repackage or re-wrap as conditions warrant / 369T / 6M. 17 CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS PRODUCT At two months intervals, rotate pump two revolutions. Check that tape, plastic and coverings are still installed. Replace if necessary. At six months intervals inspect pump internal and renew inhibitor as necessary. 18 ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS PRODUCT At two months check that all coverings are still in place and all opening properly covered. Rotate the motor and gear train to distribute lubricant over the top of the bearings. Megger the drilling motor armature and field (static voltage of 1,000 VAC and 2 Mohm minimum). Keep a record of the readings, as a drop between readings indicates an increase in moisture in the windings created by not adequate storage protection. If megger readings drop, bake the motor as soon as possible to restore proper resistance and avoid further damage. At six months grease bearings with VCI-369T grease.
