This year MK Heritage Open Days celebrates 'Made in MK. This will run from 28 June to 15 September 2013 and will celebrate arts and heritage across Milton Keynes all summer long come along to exhibitions, workshops, talks, open days, craft events and performances. 8. Remembering the Great War almost a Century on
Western Front Association Have you a relative who served in the Great War the War to End War? Come along and nd out more about how the Western Front Association can help. 11. NADFAS Open Day at St Peter's Church, Gayhurst
NADFAS A grade I listed church, completed in 1728. One of only a few churches of this date and style in Buckinghamshire. A record of St Peter was recently completed by the North Buckinghamshire Decorative and Fine Arts Society. Members of the church recorders group will be on hand to show visitors around. There will be a display of features included in the record and the church trail of highlights for visitors to follow. 12. 240th Anniversary of 'Amazing Grace'

14. St Lawrence's Church Open Day, Broughton

Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust St Lawrence's Church is home to medieval murals of George and the Dragon, a restored church clock and much more. 15. Living Heritage Talks A celebration of St. Lawrences Church and the Grand Union Canal

16. Chandos Hall Museum Open Day

Newport Pagnell Historical Society Exhibition of costumes and displays of local artefacts, plus a recreation of a Victorian kitchen. Books, maps, photographs and other items of general local interest will be on sale. Heritage Hunters Olney Heritage Trail A walk designed by children from Olney Middle School to give the history of the town from their perspective. 21. St Mary's Stony Stratford Heritage Open Days
Greek Orthodox Community Milton Keynes The Church (Former Church of St Mary the Virgin c1864) will be open on all four days. 24. History of Recycling in Milton Keynes 20th Anniversary Recycling Factory Tour
MK Recycling Facility Recycling has been part of the unique, forward-thinking identity of Milton Keynes for 20 years. To nd out more about past, present and future recycling initiatives here in Milton Keynes visit the Materials Recycling Facility in Old Wolverton. The evening includes a presentation, a video of the machinery at work and a tour into the factory to view the machinery from the safety of a raised viewing gallery - booking is essential. 25. Wolverton 175 - Steam Dreams Steam Train

Wolverton Station Steam Dreams steam train will pull into Wolverton Station for just two minutes and then depart. The passengers will be given a Banbury Biscuit each, the recipes and facts about Wolverton 175. The public will be welcome to come and see this train arrive and depart two minutes later. 30. First World War Remembered
Living Archive As we approach the Centenary of the start of the First World War Living Archive invites you an exhibition of memorabilia, photographs and documents relating to the Great War. 31. The Living Archive Band

Living Archive The band performs original songs based on the interviews and experiences of people from the area now covered by Milton Keynes. The Railway Walk passes many historic locations that help to chart the evolution of the area, from Neolithic through Roman, Medieval and Industrial Revolution to present day. 39. The View nder Project
The Drawing Machine & MK Fringe The Drawing Machine, in association with MK Festival Fringe, launches the View nder Project and unveils 'The Un nished Drawing', created during this summers Fringe. Funded by Milton Keynes Community Foundation, this will be the rst of a series of works created by the public, in di erent spaces around MK. 45. Stowe House Short Tours*
Stowe House Preservation Trust A chance to see the newlyrestored State Music Room, considered to be the most beautiful room at Stowe House. After 5 months of restoration the room has undergone a remarkable transformation and is returned to its 18thcentury magni cence. As part of your short guided tour of Stowe House you will also see two other restored rooms and one which is pre-restoration. This wonderful introduction to the House will leave you wanting to return to see Stowe House completed. The tour will include free family fun with an exciting family trail. 46. Canal Restoration Open Day

Buckingham Canal Society Culmination of 21 years of work by Buckingham Canal Society. 2013 has seen major activity at the Buckingham end of the canal as it has undergone re-lining. It will soon hold water for the rst time in nearly 100 years! Members of the team will be on hand on the day to explain all of the bene ts restoration brings as you tour one of their four active restoration sites. Displays will be on site including maps of the area showing the historic canal, archive material and photos of restoration work being carried out. Date: Sunday 15 September, 11.00am to 3.00pm Location: Bourton Meadow, Buckingham. Access is opposite the entrance (where the Bourton Meadow Academy is located) to Burleigh Piece.
