Also, please send your child with a healthy snack (no candy chocolate, or soda) that is quick and easy to eat. The students are allotted 15 minutes of snack time. I am excited for the new school year to begin, and I look forward to meeting you all at Open House on September 4th. I encourage you to attend as I will be outlining the curriculum, classroom procedures, grading, and more! I hope you had a wonderful summer and that you are looking forward to a great school year. My name is Lisa Barnhart, and I am very pleased to be joining the staff at DAIS. I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan and have been teaching for 10 years. I have taught in South Africa, Kuwait, Colorado and most recently Seoul, South Korea. I would like to welcome all of my students and their parents. I am looking forward to working with all of you this year. The first few weeks of school are always a big adjustment for students. There are many new things to learn so please make sure that they get to bed early. This will help them get into a routine. It will also help them to be
